3. Solution Overview
We provide three kinds of bank formats in the SAP system, which allow you to send or receive data in
the form of DME files in these formats. For Qatar National Bank the format is
QA_BT_NATIONAL_BANK, for Doha Bank the format is QA_BT_DOHA_BANK, and for Ahli Bank of
Qatar the format is QA_BT_AHLI_BANK. Before using these bank formats, you should configure
payment methods.

Step 1: Create a payment method against the country (e.g.: Qatar).

IMG(SPRO)->Financial Accounting (New)->Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable-> Business

Transactions->Outgoing Payments->Automatic Outgoing Payments->Payment Media->Make Settings for
Payment Medium Formats from Payment Medium Workbench->Assign Payment Medium Format and
Note to Payee to Payment Method

In this step, you specify this payment method classification is for bank transfer, and which bank format is
used by this payment method.

Step 2: Set up payment methods per company code for payment transactions.

IMG(SPRO)->Financial Accounting (New)->Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable-> Business

Transactions->Outgoing Payments->Automatic Outgoing Payments-> Payment Method/Bank Selection
for Payment Program-> Set Up Payment Methods per Company Code for Payment Transactions

Step 3: Set up payment method for employees in Bank Details ( infotype 0009)
