Description of class: There are students in class, seating in rows. The students have
been studying English for two years. During the previous lessons of the unit, they have learned
vocabulary related to the theme science, including such topics as the International Space Station,
inventions that changed the world, great thinkers and scientific research.
Timetable fit: The lesson content will have a focus on vocabulary and the improvement
of speaking skills, students will be discussing about topics related to brain power and
development.
Assumptions: while working in pairs or groups, students may be noisy; some may be
more passive.
Brief description of the lesson: In this lesson, students will practice the vocabulary
related to brain power and development, listen to a conversation about the ways
teeenagers behave and possible problems they might experience (between a parenting
advisor and sociologist), check their comprehension, identify correct prepositions, and
match words and phrases.
