Founded in 2001, Airdance is one of the countrys premier and pioneering companies in
Contemporary Dance and the Aerial Arts. Home to prominent dancers, teachers, and choreographers in
the Philippines, it is committed to providing a nurturing environment for creativity and excellence in
dance.

Airdance is one of the leading companies in a number of major arts and dance festivals in Manila
including the WiFi Body Dance Festival, Contemporary Dance Map - International Dance Day celebration,
Fringe Manila Arts Festival, and the DanceMNL Festival. The company won the grand prize in the
Mindanao Modern Dance Competition in South Cotabato and was awarded the "Best Young
Contemporary Dance Theater Company," 2004. It was also awarded Best Dance Company (Modern) in the
2007 and 2008 ALIW Awards.

Apart from its visible involvement in local commercial and corporate productions, Airdance has
represented the country in various international dance events: World Expo in Japan, 2005, (E)motion
Dance on Screen Festival in Indonesia, 2005, the 7th Asia Arts Festival in China, 2005, MAU: Japan-ASEAN
Dance Project that toured Southeast Asia in 2013, the M1 Contact Contemporary Dance Festival 2014 and
2015 in Singapore, and the World Dance Alliance-Pacific Conference in Seoul, Korea, in 2016. The company
recently celebrated its 15th anniversary with the "Body of Work" Performance and Workshop Tour in
Metro Manila and the Visayas.

Currently, Airdance continues to create performances locally and internationally, steadily

becoming a visible forerunner in the industry. Their vision is to establish Airdance as the leading
internationally recognized Philippine contemporary dance company. They want to provide a professional
venue for artistic excellence by inspiring, educating and training dance artists, choreographers, teachers
and leaders through workshops and performances.
