Annex K - Lessons Learned from the Disaster Incident (Final Report)
Pto. Galera

Based on the experience of the MDRRMC, there should be an LGU

employee assigned as focal person per barangay, and there should be an
assessment/evaluation of MDRRMC functionality to see if they do their
tasks and to provide maximum assistance to the needy in times of
calamity. All possible evacuees to prepare and evacuate as early as
possible to avoid being trapped at risky areas. The MDRRMC committee
chairman should have link with a person from BDRRMC to make a buddy
systemso there will be faster reports and faster responses. It was also
suggested that the MDRRMC should upgrade and purchase equipment
and make a regular clearing of trees to avoid too much damage during
typhoon brought about by falling trees.

GLORIA
1. BDRRMCs and MDRRMC must continue serving cooked meals, not
food packs, in the evacuation centers.

2. Validation of affected and reported families by the MDRRMC teams

must use the masterlist of households available in the municipality in
preparing the report on affected families, evacuees and damages.

3. All report forms should have been readied in the OpCen prior to the
conduct of RDANA.
BACO

POLA

1. Always be prepare what ever disaster comes.

2. If there is an announced typhoon, evacuate immediately vulnerable
communities.
3. Volunterism is best practiced in times of disaster.
4. Standardize all procedures.
5. Alert and respond.
