Mercy Mission

Mercy Mission has been founded to create opportunities

for all Muslim men and women to play a role in shining the
light of Islam across the world. We have a growing portfolio
empowering over 15 000 people across five continents, to
actively do this and demonstrate the beauty of Islam through
knowledge and action.

Mercy Mission is working hard to earn the eternal pleasure

of Allah All-Mighty, by striving with excellence to achieve the
ultimate vision of the final Messenger (peace be upon him).
Education
The Education Portfolio is central to the work of Mercy
Mission and key to the achievement of our vision. We believe
that education in our communities is important in order for
Muslims to improve themselves as individuals and make a
positive contribution to society.

AlKauthar Institute is consequently the jewel in the crown

of Mercy Mission. Founded on enriching lives through
knowledge, AlKauthar has galvanised leading scholars and
students of knowledge to teach the fundamentals of this
religion to Muslims in a language, style and manner they
respect and understand. Aqeedah, Fiqh and Usool are now
the food and drink of the students of AlKauthar, as they
quench their thirst for knowledge while increasing their
hunger for paradise...
Community

In this portfolio, our aim is to launch initiatives which help

tackle issues affecting the Muslim community as well as those
which build and strengthen ties between Muslims and
non-Muslims.

MyNeighbours seeks to take Islam from the Muslims to

their non-Muslim neighbours, by encouraging engagement
between the two.

MyCommunity seeks to work with the UK’s largest cancer

charity; McMillan Cancer Support and help all those suffering
with this disease.
Family
“The best of you is the best to his family and I am the best
among you to my family”.(Tirmidhi)

With these words of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon

him), we are working to address the needs of Muslim families
from all socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds, with
particular focus on issues pertaining to women, raising young
children and establishing/maintaining family harmony.

Part of our work in this area is seeking to respond to the

needs of Muslim children in foster care, through the
Dar Al Aasiya Program, and the wellbeing needs of Muslim
women during pregnancy through our partnership with
Haamla; a service dedicated to providing support to
vulnerable mothers.
Health
Islam teaches us that we have a duty to actively look after
our health and wellbeing, and this is a duty Mercy Mission
has built this portfolio upon. We aim to promote the virtues
of healthy living through education and encouraging Muslims
to make simple lifestyle changes upon the example of the
Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).

Eat of what is lawful and wholesome on the earth.

Our flagship program; The Ramadan Health Campaign,

utilises the blessed month to engage various sections of the
community (such as congregations in masaajid and children
in schools) in order to encourage people to genuinely think
about the importance of actively looking after their health
and wellbeing in accordance to prophetic guidance.

It was related on the authority of Abu Hurairah, (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet,
Peace Be Upon Him Said;

“Whosoever relieves from a believer some grief pertaining to this world, Allah will relieve from
him some grief pertaining to the Hereafter. Whosoever alleviates the difficulties of a needy person
who cannot pay his debt, Allah will alleviate his difficulties in both this world and the Hereafter.
Whosoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah will conceal his faults in this world and the
Hereafter. Allah will aid a servant (of His) so long as the servant aids his brother. Whosoever follows
a path to seek knowledge therein, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise”.
