Capacity range: 0.4MW - 8MW.
MDBP
The MDBP gas only burner is a conventional gas only burner for down-firing
applications. It is able to fire a wide range of gases including PSA and other
waste gases. These burners produce a well defined and straight flame to
minimise flame impingement on process tubes. Capacity range: 0.5MW - 2.5MW.
COMBINATION BURNERS:
PMA
The PMA is a combination fired conventional round flame burner. It is of the
double block design, featuring robust construction with low maintenance
requirements. This burner has a regen tile for stabilisation of oil flame, plus
floor tile. Many thousands of these burners have been supplied for use around
the world. Capacity range: 0.5MW 8MW.
MDBP
The MDBP combination burner is a conventional burner for down-firing applications.
Able to fire gas and light liquid fuels such as Naphtha/Diesel Oil. Atomising may
be with steam, air or pressure and can be supplied with safety interlocks for the
liquid fuel gun. Capacity range: 0.5MW 2.5MW.
Low NOx Burners
GAS ONLY:
PSFFG
The PSFFG is a Low NOx gas only, flat flame burner. This burner is a development
of the PFFG burner, utilising staging of fuel gas to reduce NOx. Capacity range:
0.2MW 2.5MW.
PMS-SF
The PMS-SF is a Low NOx gas only radiant wall burner. This burner is a development
of the PMS burner, utilising staging of fuel gas to reduce NOx. Capacity range:
0.1MW 0.5MW.
PSFR
The PSFR is a Low NOx gas only round flame burner. It utilises staged fuel as
NOx reduction technique. This burner has wide turndown capability and is capable
of operating with a wide range of fuel gases. The flame length is shorter than
staged air and some other staged fuel burners. Capacity range: 0.5MW to 6MW.
MDBP-LN
The MDBP-SF is a Low NOx gas only burner for down-firing applications. It is able
to fire a wide range of gases, including PSA and other waste gases. These
burners produce a well defined and straight flame to minimise flame impingement
on process tubes. Capacity range: 0.5MW 2.5MW.
COMBINATION BURNERS
PLNC / PLNFC
The PLNC burner is a combination fired round flame Low NOx burner. It utilises
the staged air technique to reduce NOx with both fuels. It is of the double
block design and when fitted with the HERO oil gun the NOx and flame length
are both reduced. The PLNFC burner is the flat flame version of the PLNC burner.
Capacity range of PLNC: 1MW 6MW. Capacity range of PLNFC: 0.5MW - 2.5MW.
PSFC / PSFRC
The PSFC burner is a combination fired Low NOx round flame burner. It utilises
staging of fuel gas to reduce NOx with gas firing. It is of the double block design
and can be fitted with the HERO oil gun to reduce NOx and flame length when
firing oil. The PSFRC is a forced draft version of the PSFC burner. It utilises the
same NOx reduction technique as the PSFC but is fitted with a swirler, instead
of the double block for flame stabilisation. Capacity range PSFC: 1MW 4MW.
Capacity range PSFRC: 1.5MW 6MW.
Ultra Low NOx Burners
GAS ONLY:
PXMR Series
The PXMR burner is an ultra Low NOx flat flame gas only burner. It utilises deep
staging of fuel gas and entrainment of flue gas into the flame envelope to
minimise NOx. Designs available for free standing of wall-firing applications.
Capacity range: 1MW 2.5MW.
FPMR
The FPMR burner is a forced draft, ultra Low NOx radiant wall gas only burner.
It utilises staging of fuel gas and a special tip design to minimise NOx. These
burners are able to operate with a wide range of fuel gases, including PSA gas
and vapourised naphtha. Capacity range: 0.2MW - 0.9MW.
PSMR
The PSMR swirl mixed recirculation burner is an ultra Low NOx round flame gas
only burner. It utilises deep staging of fuel gas and entrainment of flue gas into
the flame envelopment to reduce NOx. Capacity range: 0.5MW 5MW.
PDSMR
The PDSMR is an ultra Low NOx gas only, round flame downfiring burner. It is
based upon the PSMR and utilises the same NOx reduction techniques. It is able
to operate with a wide range of gases including PSA gas and vapourised naphtha.
Capacity range: 1MW 2.5MW.
PFMR
The PFMR is an ultra Low NOx round flame, forced draft gas only burner. It utilises
deep staging of fuel gas and entrainment of flue gas into the flame envelope to
reduce NOx. This is achieved by utilising the energy in the combustion air to draw
flue gas from the furnace into the burner throat. Capacity range: 1MW - 9MW.
COMBINATION BURNERS:
PFMR-C
The PFMRC is the combination fired version of the PFMR gas only burner. For NOx
reduction with oil firing the HERO oil gun can be used. Capacity range: 1MW
9MW.
Next Generation Burners
NEXT GENERATION GAS ONLY:
LPM-F Series
The LPM-F burner is an ultra Low NOx flat flame gas only burner. It utilises lean
premix to minimise NOx. Capacity range: 1MW 2.5MW.
LPM-W Series
The LPM-W burner is a natural draft, ultra Low NOx radiant wall gas only burner.
It utilises a lean premix to minimise NOx. Capacity range: 0.1MW - 0.5MW.
COOLSTAR
The COOLSTAR burner is available in two versions, depending upon NOx emissions.
Both utilise flue gas recirculation into the flame. The lowest NOx version utilises
lean premix to minimise NOx. Capacity range: 1MW - 5MW.
COMBINATION:
DEEPSTAR
The Deepstar burner is an ultra Low NOx combination fired round flame burner.
This burner utilises staging of both air and fuel to minimise NOx.
Capacity range 2 Mw - 8 Mw.

Burner Accessories
PILOTS:
John Zink has a wide range of pilots. These range from simple self inspirating
manually ignited (using portable igniters) pilots to large capacity forced draft
pilots. These pilots are available for a wide range of fuel gases and can be fitted
with electrical ignition and flame detection devices. Pilot capacity: 20K 600KW.
Pilot shown is a ST-1SE with external HT Ignition and flame ionisation electrodes.
IGNITERS:
John Zink can supply a wide range of igniters ranging from simple gas torch
type igniters to mains/battery operated high energy igniters, including explosion-
proof.
THERMBOND TILES:
Thermbond refractory uses a liquid activator other than water, which gives it
many advantages over conventional refractories. Thermbond products do not
require a special curing process in order to achieve optimum physical properties.
The need for pre-firing in any way is eliminated. In the past, refractory cure-out
was the main time constraint during startup. Thermbond eliminates these
constraints and costs, and also associated lost production. The features of
Thermbond materials combine to permit fast delivery, which in turn allows
reduction of your refractory inventory.
