Conferences/Workshops Organized

With the focal theme MEMS and Nanotechnology a National Conference on Emerging Areas in
Thin Film Science and Technology has been conducted during 12-14th February 2009 in which
nearly 250 delegates have attended.
National Pre-Conference Workshop on Advanced Materials: Processing, Characterization and
Applications has been conducted during 12th February 2009.
National Seminar on Bio and Nanotechnology has been conducted during 7th May 2008. 70
participants have attended the programme.
Three Days Intensive Workshop on IntelliSuite Design Software has been conducted for MEMS
Core Group Members during April 2006.
One Day workshop on MEMS and its Applications has been conducted during 10 June 2007 for
faculty and industrial personnel.
An International Workshop on MEMS and Nanotechnology has been conducted during 15-16
December 2006 in which more than 80 participants have attended. Experts from within and
abroad have delivered special lectures in this workshop.
A Two-week Short Term Training Programme on Emerging Areas in Thin Film Science and
Technology has been conducted during 31st May 13th June 2004. 50 Faculty members and
industrial personnel from various parts of the country were trained.
A National Conference on MicroElectroMechanicalSystems has been organized during 11th and
12th January 2002. 60 participants have attended the conference.
One Day National Workshop on Nanomaterials and Device Modeling Applications has been
conducted during 4th March 2011 for Students, Faculty and Industrial personnel.187 Participants
have attended the workshop.
Special Training Course on Introduction to COMSOL Multiphysics 4.1 is organized from
18.2.2011 to 5.3.2011 to the Students and Faculty Members of PSG Institutions.
