DELTAN RULES & REGULATIONS

All Employees and Contractors must ensure that they provide and maintain a working
environment that is safe and without risks.

All contractors and employees must be APA inducted to be allowed to work on work
sites.

Hair must be tied up if long.

Sunscreen protection to be used and available on site at all times.

Steel toe Safety Work boots must be worn at all times.

Must wear 100% cotton pants and approved High Visible Safety tops and Jackets.

Safety Goggles must be worn when on job site.

Safety Helmet with wide sun brim to be worn at all times when on job site.

Ear plugs or ear muffs protection to be used when using loud mechanical equipment.

The necessary Safety signs, Witches hats, Barricades etc must be placed before commencing
any works in order to warn the Public of any dangers.

Witches hats must be placed at 35 metres either side of the machinery at a total distance of
no less than 70 metres.

Use all necessary guards on the machinery.

Always have the fire extinguisher on site at all times in close vicinity at all times.

All holes over 1.5metres deep must be timbered and deep excavation ticket must be
obtained.

No alcohol is to be brought to or administered on the Worksite.

No drugs unless prescribed by a medical practitioner are to be brought or administered on


the Worksite.

No smoking on the Worksite.

No smoking or use of mobile phones if there is a gas leak.

Report any incident, accident or hazards no matter how small to the Crew Leader
immediately.

If any property damage occurs you must report to a Crew Leader immediately.

Maintenance on all machinery must be kept up to date.


All trucks must have a maintained first aid kit.

Comply with all road regulations and speed limits at all times.

No animals are permitted on the Worksites at any time.

Traffic Management Check/Plan and the Pre-Start HSE check plan must be completed before
the commencement of each job.

Work must cease immediately if a member of the Public enters the Worksite.

DANGEROUS GOODS

Materials that could be classified as hazardous must not be brought onto site.

HOUSEKEEPING

Work areas must be kept tidy and organised at all times.

All properties must be left clean and safe to ensure there is no risk to the public.
