We are not pushing any particular religious barrow. We believe that we are
spiritual beings having a human experience. While there are many different
religions, they are in our opinion, merely differing opinions and ideas, at best
they are man's feeble attempts to explain the grandeur of a force or power that is
at the same time greater than us but dependent on us. We do believe that there is a
spiritual dimension to a well balanced life, but how you express that is your
personal choice.

SELF-ACCEPTANCE
A little boy was overheard praying, "Lord, if you can't make me a better boy, don't
worry about it. I'm having a real good time like I am."
Accepting ourselves for who and what we are is one of the greatest gifts we will
ever receive. Being mere mortals, we all have physical, emotional or intellectual
flaws that we would like to fix. And restoring self-esteem, repairing broken dreams
and patching torn relationships are tools we may use to add an extra shine to a
self-perceived dull existence.
Reality often appears during the self-improvement process by revealing that there
are some impairments in our lives we can definitely mend for the better - and some
we can't. Sometimes we feel that if we could just lose those extra kilos, quit
smoking or get straight A's on our work/school report card, then others will
finally approve, accept or love us.
Falling into the trap of trying to make our image in the mirror reflect what
society deems to be an acceptable vision of perfection will grant us nothing but
disappointment and heartache. For our self-worth needs to be determined by total
love and acceptance of ourselves instead of deriving its value from the opinion of
others.
As preacher Harry Emerson Fosdick once said, "Rebellion against your handicaps gets
you nowhere. Self-pity gets you nowhere. One must have the adventurous daring to
accept oneself as a bundle of possibilities and undertake the most interesting game
in the world - making the most of one's best."
Remember: Nothing can separate you from God's love. He loves you just the way you
are. Romans 8:38-39
