4. First aid measures

After inhalation : If overcome by exposure, remove victim to fresh air immediately. Give oxygen or artificial
respiration as needed. Obtain emergency medical attention. Prompt action is essential.
After skin contact: Immediately remove contaminated clothing . Wash skin thoroughly with mild soap/water. Flush
w/lukewarm water for 15 minutes. If sticky, use waterless cleaner first. Seek medical attention if ill
effect or irritation develops.
After eye contact : In case of eye contact , immediately rinse with clean water for 20-30 minutes. Retract eyelids often .
Obtain emergency medical attention.
After swallowing : If large quantity swallowed, give lukewarm water (pint) if victim completely conscious/alert. Do not
induce vomiting/risk of damage to lungs exceeds poisoning risk. Obtain emergency medical
attention.
5. Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media water spray, water fog, foam, carbon dioxide or dry chemical.
Special risksHigh temperatures.inhibitor depletion, accidental impurities, or exposure to radiation or oxidizers may
cause spontaneous polymerizing reaction generating heat / pressure. Closed containers may rupture or
explode during runaway polymerization.
Special protective equipment for fire fightingWear positive-pressure self-contained breathing apparatus(SCBA) and
protective fire fighting clothing.
Other informationDense smoke is produced when product burns. Violent steam generation or eruption may occur upon
application of direct water stream. Vapors are heavier than air and may travel a long distance and
accumulate in low areas.
6. Accidental release measures
Person-related precautionary measuresDo not breathe vapors. Eliminate all sources of ignition in Vicinity of spill or
released Vapor to avoid fire or explosion. Check area with explosion meter before re-entering area.
Environmental-Protection measuresevacuate upwind of spills and contain with dike.
Procedures for cleaning/absorptionPump with explosion-proof equipment. Remove residual with hot soapy water.
Solvents are not recommended for cleanup unless the recommended.
7. Handling and storage
HandlingUnless inhibited, product can polymerize, raising temperature and pressure, possibly rupturing container.
Check inhibitor content often , adding to bulk liquid if needed. Do not blanket or mix with oxygen-free gas
as it renders inhibitor ineffective. Do not store at /below 32F-- inhibitor can separate as a solid. If frozen,
warm and remix material gently(<90F). Prevent moisture contact. Product may be heated to facilitate
handling. Heat product container slowly for not more than 24 hours. Convection ovens or warm water baths

(preferred due to more efficient heat transfer)are recommeded for heating. Do not use localized heat
sources such as drum heater or steam . An air space, preferably an air bubble flow, should be provided for
at all times during heating.
Storage Store in tightly closed. properly vented containers away form: heat. sparks. open flame. strong oxidizers,
radiation, and other initiators. Prevent contamination by foreign materials. Use only non-sparking tools and
limit storage time.
8. Exposure controls/personal protection
Specific control parameter :
Personal protective equipment :
Respiratory protection : If this material is handled at elevated temperature or under mist forming conditions
NIOSH/MSHA approved respiratory protection equipment should be used.
Eye protection : Eye protection such as chemical splash goggles and /or face shield must be worn when
possibility exists for eye contact due to splashing or spraying liquid, airborne particles, or
vapor. Contact lenses should not be worn.
Hand protection : Chemical-resistant gloves should be wore when handing this product.
Industrial hygien : Supply safety shower and eye bath. Wash thoroughly after handling.
