School Resources
Although school counselors are limited to the additional services they can provide they

are not limited to the resources they can provide to students and parents. I believe a good

counselor goes above and beyond to help meet the needs of students and parents in order for the

student to be successful. School counselors can provide useful information and contacts for

students as well as parents. Typically, services fall into four categories which include academic

success, career, social development and special needs. My goal as a future counselor is to know

my community and surrounding communities that can provide extra support to students outside

of the school setting this will ensure that I am a useful tool in helping my students succeed.
