ANALYSIS JOURNAL
RELATED KNOWLEDGE OF NURSE FEVER IN THE HANDLING SEIZURES
CHILDREN IN THE INSTALLATION OF EMERGENCY HOSPITAL CHILDREN (IRDA)
INTENSIVE CARE AND SPACE (RPI) IRINA E Dr PROF. DR. R. D. Kandou Manado

NO CRITERIA ANSWER LAN AND CRITICAL THINKING

1 P YA Population Research Nurses This is the Emergency
Room Installation Children (IRDA) and Intensive
Care Space (RPI) Irina E Dr Prof. Dr R. D. Kandou
Manado amounted to 33 people.
2 I YA Researchers distributed questionnaires about febrile
seizures knowledge about the number 12, and the
handling of febrile seizures by nurses there are 15
questions.
3 C YA According to pediatrician bond Indonesia (2009),
febrile seizures usually occur at the beginning of
fever, the child will look odd for a few moments,
then stiffen, twitch, and roll his eyes. Child
unresponsive for some time, the breath will be
disrupted, and the skin will appear darker than

although rare can occur for more than 15 minutes.
If your child has a febrile seizure, act immediately

child will not swallow lidahya own
a. Antipyretics drug delivery
b. Anticonvulsant drug delivery

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics,

the Steering Committee on Quality Improvement
and Management. Classifying Recommendations for
clinical practice guidelines, (2004). Febrile seizures
are seizures that arise when the baby has a fever or
anank intracranial without due process outside the
central nervous system infection.
4 O YA Based on the results of data analysis using
Spearman statistical test showed the value of p =
0.002 (p 0.05) with r = 0.513. Means it can be
concluded there is a strong relationship between the
positive direction of the nurse's knowledge about the
handling of febrile seizures with febrile seizures in
children IRDA and RPI Irina E Dr Prof. Dr R. D.
Kandou Manado. So that the results of this study
indicate that there is a significant relationship
between knowledge and handling of febrile seizures,
then Ho is rejected.

From the results of research conducted in the

emergency department children (IRDA) and
intensive care unit (RPI) Irina E Dr Prof. Dr RD
Kandou Manado on 22-28 July 2014 concluded that:
1. Most nurses in IRDA and RAPI Irina E has a
good knowledge of febrile seizures.
2. Handling of febrile seizures in children IRDA and
RAPI Irina E majority in both categories.
3. There is a significant relationship between nurse's
knowledge about the handling of febrile seizures
with febrile seizures in IRDA and RPI Irina E Dr
Prof. Dr R. D. Kandou Manado.

Disadvantages:
- This study does not mention his
- This study only sampled dominant in women
- This experiment did not mention inkluusi and exclusion criteria

Excess :
--Journal mentions the background to the selection of the title, objectives, methods, results and
benefit and discussion of febrile seizures with existing theories.
- Researchers observe directly the respondents
Nursing implications
This research can be a new insight for health personnel in the handling of a febrile seizure
patients, higher level of education obtained, the higher the level of knowledge and awareness,
and awareness to find more information to add to the knowledge that has been previously owned.
This shows the relationship with the education level of nurses knowledge about febrile seizures,
this means that increasing nurse education is directly proportional to the increase of knowledge.
