INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS

1. Your assignment should be typed using 12 point Times New Roman font and 1.5 line
spacing.

2. You are to submit assignment only in MS-WORD format unless specified otherwise.
Please refrain from converting text/phrases into picture format such as .gif / .jpeg / print
screen / etc.

3. Submission Method:

a. Face-to-face student:
You MUST submit a softcopy of your assignment online through myINSPIRE and a
hardcopy to your facilitator.

b. Online student:
You MUST submit a softcopy of your assignment via myINSPIRE and another
softcopy to the e-facilitator via e-mail.

You can submit your assignment ONCE only in a SINGLE file in myINSPIRE. You are
advised to keep a copy of your submitted assignment and the RECEIPT as evidence of
online submission.

4. Your assignment must be submitted on 28th 30th July 2017 (5th Seminar).

5. Your assignment should be prepared individually. You should not copy another persons
assignment. You should also not plagiarise another persons work as your own.

ASSIGNMENT 2 (50%)

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Answers are written one-sided, using Times New Roman fonts, size 12, 1 spacing.
The assignment should contain about 4000 words (excluding appendices).
2. References must be included and taken from reliable sources, such as books, and
journals. Surf http://www.apastyle.org/ or any other relevant site to view samples of
APA citation of references.
3. References should be current (from year 2011 onwards) but older references which
are still relevant are allowed.
4. Plagiarism, copying and cheating will not be tolerated. No marks will be awarded and
disciplinary actions can be taken for those found guilty.
5. You are to submit a softcopy of your assignment online through myINSPIRE and a
well-bound hardcopy to your facilitator.
6. The cover of the assignment should include the following:

QUESTIONS:

Conduct a case study in an educational institution (school/college/university) about a change


or innovation initiative. Conduct interviews with the school leadership, staff and pupils about
the effectiveness of the chosen initiative.

The interviews should be varied (individual and focus group) to seek the views pertaining to
the implementation of the initiative and its utility and effectiveness.

Transcribe the interviews and this should provide the findings of the study. Reference to the
transcripts should also be made where necessary in the paper.

The study should focus on the following aspects:

1. The change initiative and its importance in the institution and wider context.
2. The implementation and effectiveness of the initiative.
3. The critical factors for the sustainability of the initiative.
4. The ethical considerations used in the initiative.

You are expected to present a critical discussion on the planning, implementation and
effectiveness of the change initiative, with reference to pertaining theories or models.
Sustainability of the initiative should also be investigated. Ethical considerations used
throughout this initiative should be discussed.

Refer to the guidelines (scoring rubric) below on the expected assignment content and also
the basis for which marks are to be awarded for the report.

Assignment Format:
a. Use 1.5 line spacing and 12-point of Times New Roman font.
b. The assignment should contain about 3000 5000 words (15 20 pages)
c. Provide reference using the American Psychological Association (APA) format
d. References should be latest (year 2016 onwards)

SOALAN:

Menjalankan satu kajian kes di sesuatu institusi pendidikan (sekolah / kolej / universiti)
mengenai inisiatif perubahan atau inovasi. Menjalankan temu bual dengan sekolah
kepimpinan, kakitangan dan murid-murid tentang keberkesanan inisiatif yang dipilih.
