Osmangazi Bridge under Gebze - zmit Motorway Project is the
4th largest mid - span bridge in the world.

3rd Bosphorus Bridge
The 3rd Bosphorus Bridge which is high technology and engineering product will be the widest with
59 meters, the longest with 1408 meters main span having rail system and the suspension bridge having
highest tower with more than 322 meters in the world.

Nissibi Bridge
Nissibi cable - stayed bridge is planned to be constructed on Atatrk Dam Lake which is 80th km of
Adyaman - Kahta - Siverek - Diyarbakr Highway.
In terms of technical features, Nissibi Bridge is an example project including a series of initials and
innovation for the construction industry in Turkey.

Glburnu Bridge
In scope of the construction of Glburnu Bridge, crossing with an aesthetic bridge of the bay containing
the historical Zefre Harbor and protection of Glburnu Bay that has a natural beauty have been aimed.
Desire of large span selection is closely related to geological
and topographical features of the sea bottom.

The bedrocks are about 15 meters to 20 meters deep in


the sea. Thus, they lead to reduce the number of pier as
much as possible and place in shallower parts.

Free balanced cantilever method has been selected as


a construction method because it is not possible to base
scaffolding at offshore.

Kmrhan Bridge
Kmrhan cable - stayed bridge is planned to be constructed on Frat river which is a natural border
separating Malatya - Elaz cities and on 51th km of the existing Elaz - Malatya State Road. The bridge
will be constructed next to the existing post - tensioned bridge.

The single pyloned bridge which is crossing over the Keban
Dam, has a main span of 380 m and has a total length of 660 m.
Kmrhan Bridge will be linked to the new tunnel by approach

Gerze-1 Viaduct
Gerze - 1 Viaduct consists of two bridges with 865 m and 885 m. The bridge superstructure has two
different types as precast beam and composite steel beam. Precast Beam Bridge is between 1 and 13 axes of
the viaduct and consists of 12 spans. Pier height varies from 5 m to 26 m.
Steel composite continuous superstructure system is
consists of four steel I-beam and cast in place concrete
deck.

165 cm diameter steel armored bored piles have been


used to withstand landslide effects.

Sinop demli Viaduct
demli viaducts (1, 2.1, 2.2 and 3) have required a special structure design because of landslide having
20 m depth in the bridge area. A structure design has led to large spans without block of the landslide
as much as possible.
A composite superstructure has been selected consisting
of four I-beams and cast in place deck because of ease
of construction and road profile. The superstructure
system is continuous.

165 cm diameter steel armored bored piles have been


used to withstand landslide effects.

Algeria Oran Viaduct
Oran viaduct which is planned to be constructed in scope of the city crossing project
with 8 km in Oran - Algeria, will be 1279 m length.

Viaduct will be constructed with installation of Side spans of the viaduct are 40 m and main spans
precast segments which are manufactured in the are 70, 75 and 80 m. The bridge has a total of 17
factory and post - tensioning in place. piers and all foundations are supported by piles.

Sakarya Bridge
Bozyk - Mekece highway connects the Mediterranean region and interior regions of Anatolia to
stanbul. Because of the accidents and the other problem owing to the heavy traffic, design of the new
highway has been planned and the construction has been started.

In scope of the project, Sakarya viaduct passes through Location : Mekece - Bilecik
Sakarya River, existing railway and highway. The bridge Service Period : 2008 - 2009
is approximately 300 meters away from the South Client : General Directorate of
(Geyne - Iznik) fault of the North Anatolian fault. The Highways
soil in the bridge region consists of sand - gravel layers Scope of Service : Detailed design
having liquefiable feature. The viaducts superstructure is

Steel - Arch High Speed Train Bridge
Arch bridge that was planned to be constructed under Kars - Idr - Aralk - Dilucu Railway Survey
Design and Engineering Services has been designed as steel structure.

Bridge span is 200 m and arch height is 45 the arch carry the composite deck with steel
meters. The distance from valley floor to bridge I-beamed. Two high - speed train lines located
deck is about 60 meters. Hanger elements on the ballast base. Steel weight is 3500 tons
and transverse beams which are connected to approximately.

Esenler Viaduct
Esenler New Viaduct (Section 1 and 2) has been designed as a light rail transport system and construction
has been stopped after some time. Seismic retrofitting has become a necessity because of insufficient pile,
foundation and column capacities.

The construction siteis located on city center as a result


all kind of excavation, forage and jacketing in the site
may have caused traffic problems. In order to minimize
such operations in both viaducts, seismic isolators have
been used. In addition, concrete rail beam has been
used instead of ballast to reduce the weight of the bridge
superstructure.

The U section is used to increase the torsional stiffness


of the superstructure because of the horizontal curves
with small radius. Difficulty of superstructure geometry
has brought special solutions in the design.

balanced cantilever system and movable scaffolding system.

zmit Pedestrian Over Bridge
3 pedestrian overpass bridges have been constructed under D-100 Highway zmit Urban Crossing Renewal
Project. The project has aimed to facilitate the crossing to seaside from the city for pedestrians and been
designed as cable - stayed.

Bayrakl Suspension Overpass Bridge
The main span with 92 meters of the bridge is carried by steel arch with 12 x 75 meters special tension bars.
The steel - arch having 65 meters length has been made with inclined form. It has been connected to 4 concrete
pyramids that were built on the pile with special anchorages. Arched steel suspension bridge implementation has
been a first in Turkey.

Gztepe Pedestrian Overbridge
Steel bridge deck is supported by 4 galvanized special pre-stressed cables which
are 2 x 40 m and 2 x 60 m in length to a single pylon.
The pylon which is 28 m height is connected to a
concrete block on the ground by 2 pre-stressed cables
with 29 m length. The first stay cable implementation
of Turkey has been put into practice in zmir with the
bridge and it has brought a landmark to the city.
