GREETINGS FROM CANADA!! Our short time of home assignment is nearly ended. We have been
enjoying seeing family and friends here since early June, when we returned from Bolivia following Jonathan's High
School graduation there. However, Bill & Jesse are needing to return to Bolivia right away, as Jesse begins High
School there the first week of August.
Bill is looking forward to resuming the translation work of the Simba New Testament, in particular the translation
of the book of 1 Corinthians. There is potential to increase our translation time with Julio, our main translation
helper (pictured below). With nearly 3/4 of the Simba New Testament still needing translation, this would be great!

Julio has been working with us in both the translating

and recording of the Simba scriptures and Bible lessons
since 2006. He moved to the city of Santa Cruz the
same year we did so that his two sons could attend High
School. Since that time, he has worked as a night
watchman at our Bolivia NTM national training center in
Santa Cruz, and then worked with us in the afternoons.
Julio is very dedicated and we feel very blessed to
have him as our helper. Before we met him, he had
already taught himself to read, despite almost no
education. Now he is our best Simba reader, and is able
to read and record the lessons Bill has prepared for
radio broadcast. His passion to know the Lord better
and to teach his people governs his time. Julio purposely
schedules all his vacations to correspond with Simba
conferences, so that he can attend and teach his people
in their language. He is a gifted teacher!
Recently, Julio has been struggling with some health
problems, and the doctor has recommended he find a day
job. We are hoping he can continue to work part-time at
the Bolivia NTM training center doing a daytime
maintenance job, and then double his time working with
us on the Simba translation. Please pray with us
concerning this, as many details would need to work out.
As well, our translation consultant in Bolivia would also
need additional time to process the increased Simba
translation output … a huge challenge as he is also very
busy in another tribal ministry. As always, in Jesus' own
words, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are
few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send
out workers into His harvest field." (Matt. 9:37-38)
 ADDITIONAL PRAYER & PRAISE ITEMS
* Please pray for Julio and his family. His two oldest
sons (pictured at the left) have just recently graduated
from High School. Both are believers and are seeking
the Lord as to their futures. The younger son, Solomon,
is a very gifted musician and has recorded some music
for our Simba radio programs, along with Julio & his
brother. Both boys are interested in serving the Lord.

* We are praising the Lord for safe travels and special

times of fellowship as we've shared the ministry to the
Simba people in many churches these past two months.

* Please pray for Bill & Jesse as they return to Bolivia in

Julio's children with our three boys this past May
early August. Kathleen will join them there in mid-Sept.
after Jonathan begins college in Alberta. Jesse will
really be missing his brothers, and would appreciate
prayer for adjustment to High School and home life
without them.

* Please pray for Bill as he works on the translation of

1 Corinthians. As well, he has been invited to teach at
the main yearly Simba conference in Taperillas in
September. Please pray for Bill as he plans what to
teach with our three main Simba teachers (Julio, Felix,
and Arturo), and for the many Simba who will attend.

* Please pray for Jonathan as he begins his first year at

college, and especially as he adjusts to being away from
family for the first time. Josh would also appreciate
Jonathan will begin at this college in September
your prayers as he begins his third year of college.

* Finally, we praise the Lord for each of you who are so

faithful in your support of the work with the Simba
people … without you, it simply would not be happening!
