A major highlight of summer in the four-county GLOW
region is the many community festivals that take place.
In Livingston County, the season includes early June
events such as the Francis Bellamys Glory Day and the
Photographers Dream Day at Mount Morris Dam. Add in
Geneseos Summer Fest, Ring of Fire events on Conesus
and Silver lakes or Avons Corn Festival for more fun. And
dont forget the state Festival of Balloons that floats into
Dansville at the end of every summer.
If youre willing to take a short drive, you can find
luscious strawberries at Albions Strawberry Festival, the
music-filled Ramble Music and Arts Festival in Batavias
Jackson Square, a converted alley that has become a pop-
ular summer music destination, Le Roys long-running
Oatka Festival, or a Civil War re-enactment set on a train
along the Arcade & Attica Railroad.
Festivals provide a perfect summer family escape for a
day or a couple of hours.

Lake residents light flares at 10 p.m. along the entire
shoreline of the lake creating a ring of fire, sponsored by
Conesus Lake Association.
The fireworks, coordinated by Conesus Fest for Charity,
with 100 percent of the funding from Lake residents and
friends who come to witness one of the largest fireworks

library? Perhaps all of the above.
The outdoor Shakespeare festival is
so named because it got its start on the

two years, it has expanded beyond the
familiar, comfortable confines of Perry
Public Beach to tour around Western
New York. Last years production of
Twelfth Night reached five counties
