OUT-CECED is pleased to invite applications from qualified applicants to the following postgraduate courses for
the academic year 2017/2018.

Masters programmes are offered through Blended mode. In this mode 75% the programme will be offer through distance by the
use of MOODLE virtual learning platform accompanied with an optional full-time 2-3 day intensive face-to-face sessions at the
end of each trimester. The total duration of coursework is 12 months and dissertation for 6 months (total 18 months). Masters
programmes can be studied through the following options.

2. Master of Arts in Monitoring and Evaluation (MA M&E) by Research/Thesis (no coursework)
3. Master of Science in Economics (MSc. Economics) by Coursework and Dissertation
4. Master of Science in Economics (MSc. Economics) by Research/Thesis (no coursework)
5. Master of Community Economic Development (MCED) by Coursework and Dissertation
6. Master of Community Economic Development (MCED) by Research/Thesis (no coursework)
7. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
8. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics
9. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Community Economic Development (CED)

Mode of Application
Applicants for Masters degrees should possess first degree or its equivalent (advance or post-graduate diploma) from any discipline
from a recognized higher learning institution. Applicants for Ph.D should possess a Master Degree or its equivalent. More

ADMISSION PROCEDURES AT THE OPEN UNIVERSITY OF TANZANIA


The following are the general admission procedures for the above-mentioned course.
1. Pay application fee of 30,000 Tanzanian Shillings (for Tanzanian citizens) to Research and Consultancy Account No.
0111 0101 5604, NBC Bank, Corporate Branch or 30 United States Dollars (for international applicants) to NBC Forex
Current Account No. 0111 0500 0670, Corporate Branch, Swift Code NLCB TZTX.
2. Avail your Bank pay-in slip of the application fee (mentioned under item 1) to the Open University of Tanzania
Regional Branch which is close to you, after which, you will be given give codes for opening up your postgraduate
online application portal. (For International students, avail your BANK pay-in slip to the following email address:
iso@out.ac.tz and copy to henry.tumaini@out.ac.tz)
3. After you have submitted your forms, visit your application portal link through
