Specific Gravity of fuel calculation and the
impact of poor fuel quality in a fuel system.

Fuel quality can significantly affect the performance and
maintenance of any diesel engine.
It is important to understand basic fuel properties to be
able to judge fuel quality.
The following have an impact on the operation of diesel
engine and its fuel handling and treatment systems
