Special Item Numbers (SIN). If a SIN number has Sub-SIN (a 2 digit extension) this denotes a Sub-SIN
category. In these cases at least 1 Sub-SIN is required for each SIN that has this function, see lines 1
and 2 for an example. Sub-SIN extensions and the correct format of the SINS can be found at
http://vsc.gsa.gov/lookup/sin_mol.cfm.
Column "D" is Group Name. Options of the same kind should have the same Group
Name. Lines 1 - 3 are types of computer memory, with the Group Name "Memory".
Options with the same Group Name will be in the same drop down list on
Advantage, with the ability to select only 1 item from that Group Name. You will
create your own Group Names that apear on Advantage.
Column "H" is the Price Field. Denote the additional cost for a "S"
substituted or "A" added item. If a lesser item can be substituted for a
reduced cost, place a (-) negative sign in front of the number. Note:
There is no charge for "I" included items, these items are included with
the base price.
es "I" means this option is included with the base product. "S" the item can be substituted for an included
duct. "O" none can be selected from this group. If you want to substitute an item "S", you must have an item
emory which is included with the product "I". The buyer can substitute 125 MB or memory for 256 MB of
cluded "I" before you can substitute "S". If an option can be added and it does not require making a choice
not require additional codes to correspond with it.
