TPR 200 Tablet Press

Highly flexible tablet press for R & D and small to

medium size production batches

The Bosch TPR 200 is a highly efficient new addition to the Bosch tablet press range. Economic
and with a compact footprint, the TPR 200 is capable of producing over 229,500 tablets per
hour. This easy to operate, simple to clean and robust rotary tablet press has a highly flexible
specification and is designed to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). The TPR 200
range of functions is optimised to suit all tablet manufacturers.

Fast and easy cleaning

Ideal for small to mid size production batches, the press
offers a compact, hygienic, easy to clean design which
minimises the production area allowing fast and simple
cleaning to cGMP standards. With the addition of the
exchangeable turret option, productivity is increased and
uptime maximised.

Patented technology
Many benefits can be achieved by using the innovative
Bosch patented integrated die.

25% higher output capacity

Improved yields
Simple and fail-safe set up
Faster cleaning

Used in conjunction with the exchangeable turret, the

integrated die provides increases in flexibility, yields,
reduced tooling set-up and overall changeover times.

Powder feeding systems

The modular and ergonomically designed powder
feeding system offers a two paddle design with single or
individually controlled paddle speeds. Helping to increase
1 the range of materials to be compressed is a choice
of rectangular or round paddle blades and simple and
repeatable feeder set-up.

++ Dependent upon shape of tablet

Further TPR 200 benefits:

NB Actual tablet output and maximum application of
compaction force will depend upon materials being
compressed and the size and shape of punches respectively
Outputs tested using ISP placebo formulation
Additional stations available on request Latest RFID or QR coding wireless technology to significantly
reduce the risk of operator error and as part of a Total Productive
Bi-layer tableting Maintenance Plan
The flexibility of the TPR 200 continues to impress
with the capability to manufacture bi-layer tablets State of the art, off the shelf Beckhoff controls linked with our
with a set of conversion parts. Designed to ensure latest HMI operating software and Windows 7 application system
clear demarcation and no cross contamination
between layers, the control system provides first Mobile HMI with 21 inch touch screen display with clear
layer sampling capability and individual layer presentation of data
weight control.
Software designed in accordance with GAMP 5 guidelines and
enables compliance with 21 CFR part 11

Containment options for products classified as OEB 3, 4 or 5 are

available including Wash in Place. A full turnkey package can also
be provided.

Research and Development

For Research & Development there are two turret
versions available, combining either 4 B stations and
4 D stations or 8 B stations and 8 D stations. The
modular Data Acquisition System (DAQ) is capable
of measuring and presenting a wide range of data
including compression and ejection forces as well
as upper and lower displacement measurements.
This is a valuable tool for the evaluation of powder
and granule behaviour during compression.
