Objectve

TO prepare an EIA Report of Dudh khola Hydropower Project 50 MW, Manang .

Ratonal of the Study

Environment Protection Act,1997 and Environment Protection Regulation,1997 requires and Environment
Impact Assessment Study. In addition schedule 2(L3) pertaining to Rule 3Implementation of any Project in
National Parks , Wildlife and Conservation area and its approval from Ministry of Population &
Environment(MoPE) is attractive.
Scope
Environment Impact Assessment(EIA) study report concerning about Physical,Biological,Cultural and Socio-
Economic areas to identify the impacts, its classification and its mitigation measures along with the
timeframe and monitoring and augmentation plan preparation.
Time Frame
EIA study report approval generally takes 6-7 months time from the date of commencement to a year
which includes 15 days notice on scoping and tor area delineation and 30 days public notice on EIA draf
public hearing. Along these works the tests for physical,biological,cultural and socio-economic will be done
within the stipulated time frame.

Project Cost
For the successful completon of the EIA report the proponent has to pay NRS. 10 Lakhs Only Excluding Taxes.
(Ten Lakhs Nepalese Rupees only) to the consultant. The proponent has to bear all the legal taxes and its costs.
The proponent should pay any unforeseen costs related to the project if it should occur.
Mobilizaton release 30%, 40% after the approval of SD and ToR report and remaining 30% after the
successful approval of the EIA report from MoPE.
Necessary Documents and Letters

The consultant takes all the responsibility for approval of the EIA but the necessary documents needed for
the EIA report will be facilitated by the proponent, i.e., Licenses for conducting survey, approval letters,
design documents, company registration documents, project technical documents, etc. The documents will
not be released without prior consent of the Proponent.
Guarantee
The consultant will approve the EIA report and submit to the proponent as per the stipulated time until and
unless a calamity outside the capacity of the consultant occurs.
