Things Fall Apart is considered to be Achebes one of the finest novel cause it raises the issue that Africa

has its own culture and beliefs before the intrusion of the colonizers. It is a counter narrative of The
Heart of Darkness. In the novel we find the novelists treatment of Igbo culture and their traditional
beliefs denying the fact that they dont have any. Though he presents some of the weaknesses of the
culture too. Here Achebe raises many issues like that of Patriarchy, superstitions, rich African culture of
proverbs, poetry and folktale, justice, democracy and tolerance of other culture. And the amalgamation
of all these issues make it a severe postcolonial text.
