FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 14, 2017

Battle Creek, MI - The Haven of Rest Ministries Board of Directors Chairman Carlton Lartigue today
announced management changes and realignment and restructuring of the Haven. Executive Director,
Elaine Hunsicker, is retiring. During Elaines tenure as Executive Director the Haven of Rest has
benefited from her tireless devotion to the Havens many ministries that extended far beyond her job
responsibilities. Elaines commitment and devotion to the Haven of Rest is an extension and living
testimony to her Christian faith and love of God.

We are proud of all that we have accomplished together in Elaines 12 years as Executive Director.
Projects like the building of a new Inasmuch House Family & Childrens shelter, the expansion of the
Mens Life Recovery Program, the establishment of the Womens Life Recovery program, and continued
improvement of services that impact and change the lives of the women, men, children, and families
that the Haven serves. The Haven of Rest has benefited greatly from Elaines passion, compassion, and
commitment to serving the homeless, addicted, and those who feel hopeless in our community.

Thank you, Elaine for all that you have shared and wish you well and Gods love and peace for all that He
has planned for you.

The Board of Directors has also implemented a plan that includes a restructuring of the Havens current
leadership that will enable the Haven of Rest to: One, more efficiently delivery programs; Two, Improve
impact; Three, make the Haven much more nimble in responding to client needs, and: Four, deepen
community collaborations to address growing focus on equity issues that impact homelessness and
addiction recovery.

In that light, the board announces the following:

Daniel Jones, Currently the Havens Fund Development Director, will be elevated to Executive Director.
Robert Hollingsworth, Currently the controller will continue in this role and assume responsibilities for
all facility maintenance, kitchen and food service, and all current and future capital improvements.
Becky Davis, Currently the director of Womens life Recovery Program, will continue the oversight of
that ministry, but also oversee all ministries that have a case-management and social work component.
Pastor Ricky Perry, Currently the Haven Pastor, Pastor Perry will continue his pastoral responsibilities
and also assume responsibilities for Human Resources.

The Haven doors are always open to help the homeless, the hopeless, and those who need a little help
to find their way. True to our Mission Statement, we will continue To proclaim the good news of Jesus
Christ so that ALL may experience Gods love. Clothe, feed, and shelter the homeless in the name of
Christ, Disciple individuals to become spiritually, physically, and emotionally functional and able to live
optimally within Gods kingdom and the community.
