Reason and Prerequisites

This note describes, for which platforms and operating systems SAP supports the NetWeaver RFC library and SDK and how to install it.
Solution
Independent from the list below, a platform/operating system is out of support when the platform/operating system is out of maintenance by the vendor.
The NW RFC SDK supports the following platforms and OS versions currently:

How to installthe right NW RFC SDK on IBM iplatform is described inSAP Note 1097997.
Make sure that the lib directory of the SDK is contained in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH of the host. All 6 libraries contained therein may be required (for IBM i, you should
profile parameter as4/ADDLIBPATH to add both the lib directory and the bin directory of the SDK to the LD_LIBRARY_PATH or LIBPATH according to SAP Note 1149088).

On Windows the latest Microsoft Runtime DLLs version 8.0.50727.4053 are required. Please see note 1375494 for instructions on where to download the necessary runtime.
On Linux the C++ Runtime 6.0 (libstdc++.so.6) is required. Please see note 1021236 for instructions.On Linux "libuuid.so" is required also - see note 1391070.
Patch Level:
To find out the patch level ofa NW RFC libraryfile, run command (replace <sapnwrfc> with the platform specific file name; use for option -eon little endian systems

Reason and Prerequisites

Reason
The random number generator that is used to achieve a uniform logon load balancing does not work properly. This is a program error.
Prerequisites
The application that generates the external RFCs uses multi threaded SAP RFC library.
Solution
Please update your RFC library to the version indicated in this note for your release version.
