If the foremost purpose of learning a new language is to understand meaning and utilize
forms fittingly, then grammar can be considered an inseparable aspect while developing
communicative competence (Wong & Barrea-Marlys, 2012, p. 62).

language teaching: An exploration of second language teachers perceptions and classroom
practices. Electronic Journal of Foreign Teaching, 9 (1), pp. 61-75.

The aim of language learning is not only to achieve academic success carried out by
fluent speaking and mastering the grammar and vocabulary, but it is also focused on
psychological comfort of students to participate in their education (Kotekova, 2012).

The very first of these myths is that Vocabulary is not as important in learning a
foreign language as Grammar or other areas

Language is the human capacity for acquiring and communication way to participate in
daily lives which is to receive and perform. Acquiring a language is picking it up, i.e.,
developing ability in a language by using it in natural, communicative situations (Krashen
& Terrell, 1983, p. 18). In education context, for a large majority of learners, the ultimate
goal of studying is to be able to communicate in a new words of a language for example
vocabulary because vocabulary does deal with words. There is a myth saying that
vocabulary is not as important in learning a foreign language as grammar or other areas and
supported by Kotekova (2012) states that fluent speaking and mastering the grammar and
vocabulary are not the main focus points of language learning in achieving academic
success but the psychological comfort of students to participate which is to receive,
understand and perform in the learning activities. However, weak learners at beginner
levels are unable to achieve the desired level of communication especially since they cannot
resort to have a good vocabulary knowledge which deal with words.

the classroom. London: Prentice Hall Europe.

Whatever their personality and learning style, both teachers and students can develop a
growing love for English vocabulary learning and naturally share a passion for words and
phrases in any language.
