THE PHILOSOPHY OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION

Introduction

Philosophy is the components paramount and Supreme in education, because the


form of humans who want to be born is hanging to the site that is channeled through
education. Education is defined as by scholars as transfer values from generation to
generation either knowledge or skills, while these values are determined by the site that had
been saddled by education.

prepare young people and citizens in General so believe in Allah and to what is revealed by
him.

In conclusion, the philosophy of Islamic education is a philosophy of Islamic life

Imam Al-Ghazali was born in the year of the Hijrah equivalent to 450 A.d. 1058 in
at-Taabiran/Ghazalah in the city of Tus, Khurasan (Iran).
Real name is Abu Hamad Muhammad bin Muhammad bin Muhammad bin Ahmad
Al-Ghazali.
He has been called "Al-Ghazali" in conjunction with the title of his father, who
worked as a goat fur pemintal (al-Ghazzal). Some say commemorating birthplace,
Ghazalah.
He came from a poor family. His father is a member of a very devout Sufi. His father
has high ambitions which would like to see his son become a Godly and righteous.

researching and reviewing all the opinion of the four denominations to an expert in
the field.
After that he continue his studies with a teacher named Ahmad Al-Razkani, and
then berguru about Abu Nasr Al-Ismail at Jorjan.
Because Al-Imam Al-Ghazali had the height of the knowledge he was made a
grandmaster in Madrasah Nizamiah in Baghdad.
He has also traveled to several places such as Makkah, Medina, Egypt and
Jerusalem to pursue a philosophy of knowledge that is learned.
During the adventure, he has written the book "Ihya Ulumiddin" which contribute
significantly to society and Islamic thought in all problems which are still referenced
today.
The contribution of
Imam Al-Ghazali argues that, to get the happiness in this world and in the hereafter,
a person must have knowledge and practiced well and sincerely just because Allah
S.W.T.
Imam Al-Ghazali was a a member of the Islamic thought that left services can in
value through the results of the work.
Some of the works of Imam Al-Ghazali were translated into different European
languages to be used as a reference to students in higher institutions of learning.
As a result of his works is the famous Ulumiddin Ihya covering faith, knowledge,
philosophy, moral fikah and Sufism.
All proceeds of his writings affected the members think the next Islamic, such as
Jalaluddin ar-Rumi, Sheikh Ibn Al-Ashraf, and Rusyd Syah Waliyullah.
Most of the proceeds the work of Imam Al-Ghazali in the form of philosophy. By it as
