WARRANTY GUIDELINES
Scope of Service:

The Datamini supplied products are covered with one year limited warranty.
Datamini will ensure that the product should be free from manufacturing defect.
Scope of Warranty Service is only considering the functionality of hardware
component& operating system supplied by OEMs
The Charger, battery and other accessories are covered for 6 months warranty.
Datamini will provide Tablet pick up & drop facility. Customer has to drop the
tablet at the nearest pre-defined courier center.

Service Timings: The Service is offered from 10:00 hours to 18.00 hours Monday to Saturday
excluding company holidays.

Call Logging Process:

End Customer shall contact Call Centre No. ( 18001034397/ 18001022126) / E mail
(dataminicare@aforeserve.co.in)
The Call Centre Executive shall receive the call/ Email & capture the IMEI / Sl. No. Of
the Product in order to ascertain the Warranty status.
Call Centre Executive shall inform the End Customer regarding Out of Warranty (OOW)
situations which are:
a. If upon technical inspection by TRC Engineer, the handset is found CID (Liquid/
physical damage/ unauthorized repairs), then the handset shall be considered as OOW.
b. In case handset is received at Repair Centre damaged during transit due to improper/
inadequate packing, the same shall be considered as OOW.
Call is logged only for Warranty of the Tablet, capturing the problem description of the
tablet on the CRM & Ticket No. is communicated to the Customer by system generated
email. The CRC shall call the End Customer & make an attempt to address the problem

remotely. In case the problem persists, the CRC shall forward the call to Logistics for
pick up.
Our call center executive will communicate the packing guidelines to the customer along
with the ticket number by email. Logistics team shall communicate the estimated Pickup
time to the Customer & align courier for pick up.
The Repaired handset will then be dispatched through Courier to End Customer after
proper packing, updating the status in CRM. The customer will be informed regarding
the dispatch by auto-email
The repaired handset receipt by End Customer is ascertained from respective Courier
Website

DOA Criteria
Following criteria must be met in order for a product to qualify as a DOA
Defect reported within 10 days of purchase.
Should have purchase invoice with set serial number written on Invoice.
Set is completely dead but no customer induced damage and requires L2 or L3 level
repair.
Box packing of same Serial number along with all accessories & manual + Warranty
card.

General Warranty Terms

Warranty of the equipment will be according to the warranty stated as per the finalized
terms & Invoice billed accordingly.
TABLETS products are equipped with batteries that have a limited number of possible
recharges. As such the autonomy of a battery will progressively deteriorate over time. It
does not guarantee the batteries for a specific duration, in that the deterioration of
battery autonomy includes variables that are out of the control of Datamini, such as the
frequency of discharging & recharging. Warranty of the battery & power adapter cover
only for 6 months.
In the event of repairs of any part/s of the unit, this warranty will thereafter continue and
remain in force only for the unexpired period of the warranty. The time taken for repair
and in transit whether under the warranty or otherwise shall not be excluded from the
warranty period.

The company's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repair or providing
replacement of part/s only. The maximum claim/s if entertained by the company will be
subject to the maximum retail price of the product purchased or the purchase price,
whichever is lower.
If during the warranty period, Datamini receives notification of a material defect that
follows the warranty conditions, Datamini will either repair the product using new or
refurbished parts, or replace the faulty product with a new product or a product built with
new parts that offers equivalent functionalities

Exclusions from Warranty Services

The warranty does not cover accessories external to the Tablet.

Modification or alterations of any nature made in the circuitry by the purchaser or


unauthorized personnel, as determined by the company personnel.

Defects due to causes beyond control like lighting, abnormal voltage, acts of god or
while in transit to service center or to the purchaser's residence.

Defects caused by household pets, rats, cockroaches or any other animals or insects

Warranty does not cover any third party software, settings, content, data or links,
whether included/downloaded in product.

Warranty does not cover defects or defects caused by the fact that the product was used
with, or connected to, a product, accessories, software and/or service not manufactured,
supplied or authorized by DATAMINI or was used otherwise than for its intended use,
Defects can be caused by viruses from your or from third partys unauthorized access to
services, other accounts, computer systems or networks. This unauthorized access can
take place through hacking, password-mining or through a variety of means

Warranty does not cover defects caused by the fact that the battery has been short-
circuited or by the fact that the seals of the battery enclosure or the cells are broken or
show evidence of tampering or by the fact that the battery has been used in equipment
other than those for which it has been specified.
There is damage caused by accidental drops, spills, fire, or power surges are not
covered under warranty.

Datamini will replace the LCD panel of Tablet, if missing or burnt pixels increase more
than three spot.

DATAMINI recommends license operating system and licensed application software for
customer to take advantage of optimum usage of the equipment.

Warranty void cases will be serviced only on chargeable basis.

Warranty of the equipment shall be void if the equipment is opened by any other
personal apart from Datamini Authorized Service Engineer.

Datamini is not liable for the support for those which are not licensed, shareware, and
downloadable software.

Loss of data due to Hardware failure, virus attack or accidental deletion of data.
Retrieval of the data by any of above means is out of the purview of scope of service.
Customer should take back up of their important data on time by time as per their
requirement.

Malfunctioning of the equipments due to virus are not in scope of service &such
services will be done on chargeable basis.

Warranty is void if serial tags, receiving numbers, product stickers, or manufacturer


seals have been removed, altered or tampered with. Warranty is void if mishandling,
physically damage, improper use, or defacing of the product that would normally void the
warranty. Said serial number will be declared as warranty expired product & service will
be offered on chargeable.

End Customer to have suitable electrical conditions with proper airflow to exhaust warm
air from equipment. Supplied product should be housed in the environment free from
Dust, Heat, direct sunlight & pests like Rats. The site should maintain following
specifications for the trouble free operation, Line Voltages - Phase Neutral = 220 V ~;
Neutral Earth <= 5 V~ & Voltage fluctuation +/-0.5% Room Temperature between 20 to
25 degree C.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability: This being purely a service level agreement there is no
warranties, express, or implied offered by Datamini. In particular, this disclaimer includes, but is
not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Datamini will in no event be liable for lost profits, lost saving or other indirect or consequential
damages even if Datamini has been advised of the possibility of such damages, or any claim
against the Customer by any other party, or for any punitive or penal damages.

Jurisdiction and Venue: The parties agree that the exclusive venue for any claims or disputes
arising under this agreement shall be in Mumbai, India, and agree to submit to the jurisdiction of
the courts therein. In no event shall any party to this agreement contest the jurisdiction of such
courts over it or the venue of such courts with respect to such claims or disputes.
