1 1 Mia is the Princess Amelia of Genovia. Her dad is sterile he cant have any more children, so she is
his heir. When her dad dies, Mia will be the ruler of Genovia.
2 Mia does not like her boyfriend, Kenny.
3 But she doesnt want to break up with him. She doesnt want to upset him.

2 1 Judith is a senior student and the President of the Computer Club. Mia is jealous of her, because she is
going out with Michael. Mia loves Michael, but she hasnt told anyone.

3 Kenny phones Mia and tells her that he loves her.

3 1 Mia tells Lilly about Kennys phone call. Lilly doesnt think that Mia is ready to have a boyfriend. Later,
Mia tells her friend, Tina, about Kennys phone call. At first, Tina says that Mia is lucky, but she soon
guesses that Mia loves someone else.
2 Tina doesnt laugh when Mia tells her about Michael and Mia is very happy.
3 Lilly is mad with Mrs Spears because the teacher did not approve of Lillys ideas for her English paper.
So Lilly plans to arrange a student walkout.

4 1 Mias nostrils flare. They always do this when she is lying and Grandmere knows this.
2 Grandmere advises Mia to go to the dance with another young man and wear a pretty dress.
3 Kenny tells Mia that he loves her and everyone hears him.

5 1 Lilly says that Mias list is wrong because all the boys except one are from films.
2 The Winter Carnival is on December 18th. The Winter Dance is in the evening.
3 Mia plans to send Michael an anonymous card. She thinks it will work because Kenny did this with Mia,
and shes his girlfriend now.

6 1 Mia sets off the fire alarm at 10am so every one has to go outside anyway.
2 Sebastiano wants Mia to see how she looks in all his dresses. So he tells his assistant to take
photographs of Mia wearing them.
3 He knows that Mia was in the hallway at 10am. And he calls the person who turned on the fire alarm
her and tells Mia to thank her. Mr Giovanni is not angry because a walkout would make a problem for
him, so near to the Finals.

7 1 Lana showed Mia a stupid article about Princess Mia. And Lana knew that Mia had turned on the fire
alarm. Mia is so angry and upset that she breaks Lanas cell phone. The Principal suspends Mia from
school for one day.
2 Michael asked Mia about her suspension. He also asks her if she is going to the Winter Carnival.
3 Mr Giovanni bought the Christmas tree for Mia, because she had had a bad day.

8 1 Mia is jealous because she can see that Lillys boyfriend, Boris, really loves Lilly. Mia wants a boyfriend
who will give her loving looks too but not Kenny!
2 Mias dad is angry with Sebastiano because he sold the photos of Mia wearing the new dresses to a
magazine.
3 He wants her to forgive him and to look beautiful at the Winter Dance too.

piece of paper from the jar. The name on that paper is your Secret Snowflake and you must buy that
person a Christmas present, without telling them your name. You will get a present from your Secret
Snowflake too.

10 1 There was a pretty picture and then a flag with a little poem on it. The last line said, I love you too.
It was in answer to the cards Mia had sent to Michael.
2 Mia is crying and she doesnt want anyone to see.
3 Kenny thinks that Mia loves Boris.

11 1 Grandmere says that Mia must show her friends that it doesnt matter what they think.
2 Michael does.
3 He knew that Mia was sending him the cards, because Lilly had told him.
