Began work as a SharePoint administrator in late 2012. Quickly

learned administrative duties and responsibilities, and have grown into a
lead system architect responsible for multiple SharePoint farms at the
NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC). Currently managing nine SharePoint
2010 and SharePoint 2013 farms that support the center, and am the lead
SharePoint administrator. Responsible for overall architecture of the
systems, recommendations for future growth, advise NASA resources on
upcoming risks and capabilities. Lead administrator in the migration of
current SharePoint 2010 sites into SharePoint 2013. Currently coordinate
between multiple organizations and act as a liaison between customers
other administrators, and business management. Utilize tools such as
powershell to aid in administrative and reporting tasks on a daily basis.

As an architect have become familiar with various technologies such as

Office 365, cloud based technologies, and virtual servers. To ensure best
use of SharePoint technologies for collaboration I aid customers with
implementation of InfoPath forms, database connections, SharePoint
designer, and various third party tools and add-ons for the SharePoint
environment. In my role I lead the centers monthly SharePoint user
group where I provide insights to upcoming patches, Microsoft
technologies, and potential concerns that users of the system may have. I
have also acted as the lead and focal for the SharePoint farm and
development team, coordinating activities and patching.

Windchill Architect/Developer

2005 - 2010

Solution Architect for the Design and Data Management System (DDMS)
project at the NASA Johnson Space Center. DDMS utilizes the Parametric
Technology (PTC) Windchill system. Served as a liaison to PTC through the
PTC Infrastructure Committee. In this role I coordinated with customer and
vendor groups concerning upgrades to the environment. As the Solution
Architect I oversaw a migration of code and systems to the Windchill 8.0
version of the software, and the transition of Space Station documents to
an external system. While completing the Windchill migration effort I was
presented an opportunity to assist with the operational area of the project
which furthered my knowledge of networking, storage, and middleware
areas.
While with InDyne I expanded my experience by assuming the team lead
role for the JIMMS middleware area. In this capacity I acted as a project
manager and liaison between customers and other vendors such as ODIN
to support release requirements. In this role I gained additional experience
with web server, server technology, and database technologies. Due to the
nature of the role and criticality of the applications supported it was
necessary to be an effective communicator of planned work and to closely
coordinate with internal and external resources. Lead various projects
including the upgrade of the institutional web servers middleware
components to ColdFusion 9.0. Successful completion of the project
required planning and coordination of work to ensure minimal impacts to
center wide applications

SAIC/Johnson Space Center

November 2000 Jan 2005

Windchill Developer (SQL DBA and ColdFusion support)

2003 - 2005

Oracle DBA

2003 - 2005

ColdFusion Developer

2000- 2004

As a Software Engineer for SAIC I provided continuing development support for

the Engineering Drawing Review System. As the primary developer I served as
the liaison to customers and management as part of the JRP 8500 G Tiger team.
During this period I provided inputs and negotiated with system customers on
requirements and system capabilities.

In the tenure at SAIC I transitioned to a development role on the Windchill

Design and Data Management System (DDMS) project at JSC. Starting as a
developer I gained experience with JAVA development standards and application
of principles of systems engineering. Was responsible for the coordination of
requirements gathering between various Johnson Space Center (JSC)
organizations including Engineering (EA), the Information Resources Directorate
(IRD), and the International Space Station program. When developing
requirements and supporting applications I acted as a champion for the adoption
of new integrated processes which radically altered the business processes for
review and manufacture of items at JSC. A supporting application I developed
was the Virtual Work Authorization System (VWAR) which took the work
approval system utilized by EA from a manual paper process to an automated
electronic process greatly increasing efficiency and traceability of work
processes.

As the DDMS project continued to grow my responsibilities grew as well. I was

promoted to be the Solution Architect for the overall DDMS project. In this role
one responsibility was for project management of the Windchill 5.1 to 6.2.2
migration project. This project required development of a project plan and
coordination with various domain architect groups including the operations,
storage, network, and development groups. By developing an operational
concept and project plan that took into account operational, facility, and
customer service requirements a smooth migration was possible with minimal
interruption to customers or their business processes. After this project was
completed I assisted with coordination and implementation of a major data
import for ISS documentation. Additional responsibilities including leading the
development efforts for the DDMS project and developing solutions specific to
the application. While leading the development effort I was responsible for
validation that solutions followed systems engineering and development
practices for performance and coding standards. One of the solutions I
developed was a custom Apache Web Server middleware module that allowed
authentication from multiple authentication sources including the NASA agency
domain. This innovation allowed NASA users to have a single set of credentials
for their desktop and the DDMS application, while also making allowances for
the user base which did not have a NASA identity. In this Solution Architect role I
provided inputs to overall system architecture and provided service policy
recommendations.

While in the Solution Architect role I was also a critical liaison between
customers, management, developers, industry, and other NASA centers. One of
the mechanisms for this was as a member of the Parametric Technology
Corporation (PTC) Infrastructure Committee. This committee met on a
semiannually basis to discuss directions of the product, best practices, and
solutions developed by other domain architects for the Windchill system. I also
chaired the DDMS change board which evaluated change request for the system
and worked with customer and vendor resources to address requirements for
products and services by the product.
