Detailed Scope of Work
1. Introduction:
The scope described herein formally instructs the Contractor to furnish all material, labor, equipment
and services to perform repair to the existing showers at the Women's Bathroom Rm # 014 located on
the 2nd floor. The work described herein is to be completed at a total of five (5) stalls - four (4) standard
and one (1) handicapped accessible stall.
2. Detailed Scope:
Contractor shall be responsible to effectively perform the following tasks outlined in this section:
a. Remove and store all the grab bars, shower appurtenances and accessories for re-use from the
stalls.
b. Demolish and remove the existing shower surrounds.
c. Remove existing shower bodies and replace them with new shower bodies.
d. Furnish and install new shower surrounds including any additional roughing required to fit the
existing framing.
e. Re-install the existing grab bars, shower appurtenances and accessories.
f. Furnish and install defective miscellaneous items encountered during construction due to the
unforeseen conditions after obtaining approval from DASNY's Construction Project Manager.
3. General Requirements
This section indicates the following general and project specific requirements discussed during the
Joint Scope Meeting:
a. Contractor is responsible to field verify all measurements before procuring the materials.
b. Construction is planned to be executed in phases and Contractor is to coordinate with DASNY's
Construction Project Manager.
c. Working hours for the construction work are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
d. Contractor is to coordinate with DASNY's on site Construction Team for obtaining any storage and
staging area.
e. Contractor shall submit the relevant cut sheets, product data sheets, etc. to DASNY's Construction
Team for approval and shall not install any material without approval.
f. Contractor shall not perform any work without notifying and coordinating with DASNY's Construction
