This weekly e-mail highlights interesting internship opportunities and other important information that will
aid you in securing an internship! The internships listed below are just a sampling of what is available. For
complete listings of all current internships, log on to connectSC at http://careers.usc.edu. New internships
are added daily.
WALK-IN HOURS
The Internship Programs Office has daily walk-in hours, Monday through Friday from 9:00am-3:30pm.
Stop by our office in STU B1 during our walk-in hours if you have a quick question about internships,
connectSC or want to brainstorm workplace issues.
F-1 international students participating in a paid internship are required to receive Curricular Practical
Training (CPT) authorization from OIS which requires enrolling in an internship course at USC. F-1
international students participating in an unpaid internship should contact OIS for more details regarding
work authorization requirements.
UNPAID INTERNSHIPS
Office of Senator Dianne Feinstein Internship Program
Senator Feinstein's Los Angeles office is looking for highly motivated college students for internship
positions for the fall session. Interns support our Field Representatives and Staff Assistants in drafting
memos to the Senator, scheduling or attending meetings with staff, constituent letters, conducting
background research, phone calls, document requests, morning press clippings, research projects, and
attending events with the Senator when she is in the area. For many citizens, contact with Senator
Feinstein's office is their only experience with an elected representative. Therefore, we need polite
and friendly students with some familiarity with the American political system and current events.
Additionally, strong writing and editing skills are a plus. Flexible hours (a minimum of 12 hours/wk)
during the school year. We are very conducive to working with students' class schedules. Interested
students should submit a cover letter, resume, 3 academic/professional references (contact
information), and one page writing sample to Angeline_Macaspac@feinstein.senate.gov.
