Dear Asst. Prof. Jerralyn T. Padua:

The purpose of writing this letter is to express my desire to seek admission in the Institute of
Information and Computing Sciences for a second degree in Information Technology. I currently
hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I was an incoming fourth year student when my parent
allowed me to switch courses; but then I thought it would be best if I finish my degree in Biology
first and hopefully pursue a degree of my passion later on. I developed an interest in Information
Technology in high school, taking up an elective in programming and having spent my time with
a relative who is an IT specialist. I know that pursuing Information Technology would be in my
best interest since this field is what I really wanted to undertake ever since.
