Yourself
1. Tell me about yourself, strengths and weaknesses
I have always liked maths and science subjects since I was young. I got the chance to
expose myself to some various designing software because of my father is an
engineer. I found mould design very interesting and I entered engineering course. I
have strong interpersonal skills. I am easy going and I can adapt to a new
environment very quickly. I have no problems communicating with my peers and I
am not afraid of new experiences and unknowns. My weakness is my tendency to
become emotional but to me it only means I am more passionate about things

2. Tell me about your interests.


I have always like playing badminton because it makes me more alert and helps me
concentrate on the work at hand. Besides, I also like singing because it helps me clear
my minds and reduce my stress level.

3. How do you handle stress?


I actually work better under pressure and I have found that I enjoyed working in a
challenging environment. It makes me want to improve myself in order to do better.

4. What is your leadership style?


Leaders are people who know how to achieve goals and inspire people along the way.
We all have our own ideas about what it means to be a good leader. I believe it means
motivating the members of my team to be their best selves.

5. If you were part of a group, how would you handle conflict among your group
members?
First, I will acknowledge the conflict and I will discuss it with other members. Once
the team recognizes the issue, I will understand the situation, make sure they see the
facts more obviously with less emotion. Lastly, we will reach an agreement.

6. What kind of people do you like to work with?


I like working with people that are understanding and helpful. I believe
motivating and helping each other during work time will help me to improve myself
and create a stronger bond among the colleagues.

7. What kind of people do you find challenging to work with?


On a personal level, I enjoy all types of people. On a professional level, I have respect
for all individuals that work hard and maintain a professional work environment. I
will always get along with my coworkers without any personal disagreement.

8. Tell me about your time management skills.


I will be constantly keeping tab of assigned work with my subordinates and seniors,
finishing the assigned job before deadlines.
9. What has been your most important achievement so far.
My most important achievement is I got into this course with full scholarship. I am
the first one to leave my family to study oversea. I believe I have made them proud.

10. Dou you like working in a team? Why?


a) Yes. I enjoy working in a team environment and I get along well with people.
Different team members contribute different perspectives and can produce
creative and productive results.
b) I enjoy both. Depending on the project that needs to be done. I can work
independently to complete my tasks on time, but I also enjoy brainstorming and
collaborating with my colleagues.
11. Tell me about your life in the polytechnic.
I really enjoyed my life in polytechnic. I have met really amazing friends, we have
been through up and down and I love my classmates. I also joined various CCAs and
develop my leadership skill. I was the director of Leo Club and Logistics of
Astronomy Club while I was in NYP.

12. We rotate our staff regularly through different departments. How to you feel
about this practice?
I feel this is a good practice because I believe job rotation is seen as a way to motivate
employees and broaden their skill sets.

13. What might make you leave a job?


a) As long as I feel challenged professionally, I will never leave my current job.
b) The reason to leave the current job is that I am looking for some more challenging
type of work, I want to shoulder more responsibilities where I can show my
ability to perform my best.
