Seems as if no one wants to write a review of this little booklet. Ok, I will step up to the
plate and write it. Everything in docc's book is designed for a one-person operation.
You don't need an assistant and you don't need aboulute darkness (this is a selling
point for him, but I have never needed this to perform mine,so it was not an issue for
me).

Docc starts off by given you a little background, in the making of a medium. His
Questions and Answers are worth a look and developing! Very useful, But if you are
doing seances already, been there done that, so nothing new.

The Persona and personality section is lacking, best to see Eugene's book/ Docc
offer's you 26 lines or 2 paragraph's on this important issue, you will need to go to
other sources, if you do seance work...been there done that.

Your spirit guide and how to choose him, was interesting, but is not my thing and
needs to be developed more by the performer for proper use.

Morals, ethics and good judgment and dress for dress for success, is standard issue
information.

The pocket seance: Docc suggects, "The next time you're at an intimate cocktail party
bring up the subject of ghosts. . . Propse that you conduct a small seance right there."

This mini/pocket seance is done with business cards and in all honesty, reads like pure
corn. How he does this with a straight face is beyond me. Raising sprits is serious
stuff and yet he reduces it down to a cocktail party, business card effect. Power to him
 if he can pull if off, but for me pure corn.

Having said that, the effect it self is good and has uses, but IMHO not in the manner he
says.

The Grand Seance: I found this to be more like a psi-party then a seance. If your going
to do a seance DO ONE! This is more of a numerology, tarot cared, cold reading, then a
seance. Doable--Yes, very much so! A seance--Not my ideas of one, maybe it is for you.

The personal seance: Docc warns you that if you are not well versed in cold reading to
pass on this one. I like this one, but one must have the skills to pull it off.

selling the seances and bonus bucks has usefull information in it. The tape recording
idea is worth the price of this booklet alone.

This book is not for everyone! Docc very well may have made, 1,000 in a weekend, but
for most this book will read like corn. One would be better served using this book as a
Psi-party rather than a seance. If you want a pack-flate seance get Brother Shadow's
book.

There is some useful information in this booklet!! You will use it, I feel you will use if
diferently then Docc suggects, but you will use it.

I recently purchased it and I found it useful for helping me devise the kind of show I
want to promote. It's a great brainstorming tool and really helped me get the creative
juices flowing. I agree wth Sir T. on the Pocket Seance. A bit corny for my tastes but a
great effect and a method that has many uses. If you are looking to any kind of Bizarre
Special user intimate performance, I think you will nd this booklet helpful for focusing on what you
Spellbound want YOUR show to be like. I personally like the idea of combining a sort of Psi party
Productions

Just an opinion, teejay, but I think you might get more out of Docc's "H.P. Lovecraft's at
the Mountain's Of Madness" sceance booklet. Whereas the "$1,000 Secret Sceance" is
essentially a dressed up ofce reading, the MoM booklet teaches a sceance that is
much more varied and theatrical and includes divination, spirit writing, several physical
manifestations (the moving, breaking, appearance and disappearance of a variety of
Regular user objects, as well as the appearance of an ectoplasm-like substance) and even a bit of

pulse stopping. The presentation is woven around one of the dark tales of H.P.
Lovecraft called "At The Mountains Of Madness."

Mountain's Of Madness has a problem with the fact one of the need items is no longer
made! One can make them yourself, buy going to heating company and getting the
needed item, it can be a pain to do, but worth the time and cost.

The 1,000 seance is more of a Psi-item for me, the booklet is useful, but as I said,

if you have the invocations on hand easy to swap out a few effects.

The brother shadow book you want is have seance will travel. Packs flat and plays big.
Those looking to get into Psi-parties, save yourself a lot of money get Webster book on
the subject as it is the same one Mark show you on his rather expansive videos ( as
good as they are, I would perfer to spend 40.00 for a book then 250.00 for videos)

Have Seance -- Will Travel is one of the best books ever written to reconcile Magic,
Magick and human experience of Joy and Grief I have ever read. The magic is in the
mind and memory -- not the hands or gimmicks or boxes.

I waited patiently for my $1000 Seance book. And I am sure those who use this will be
Inner circle able to do four $250 seances a weekend (including Fridays) but I in no way nd it lives
Tucson, AZ up to the Hype in its ads. It is worth the price to see what is going on -- and how you

want top improve or change ujp stuff for your character, personality or show.

Having said that -- just remember, a solid grounding in Corrinda, Anneman -- with a
touch of Andruzzi will allow you to live without this. If you do not want that much work
in creativity (and Docc has invested that work) -- this is a solid shortcut to cut and dry
performance -- but maybe not to repeat bookings.

Like Doccs book test, for instance - it uses OK magic principles that are pretty stock --
 but ordered for the convenience of the "Fries with that sir" magician. (No insult to R
McD meant.) GC
