Test Parameters 4

The time frame for this test will be roughly 10 minutes and is to be taken at the
participant’s leisure. The budget for the test is relatively low. The costs will include the paper
the test is printed on as well as the hourly wage of those administrating the test. No facilities
will be rented due to the fact the students and faculties are to complete this test at home. The
audience for the test results is the IT department at GeekTech University. With these test
results they will be able to determine if the materials they are distributing are serving their
desired purpose.

Statement of Purpose 5

The test plan is to survey all of those which used the Google Reader instruction
materials and find out if they were an effective instructional tool. Once the students and
faculty have taken the test, the results will be used to gage the instructional materials overall
effectiveness. Adjustments will be made in future versions based off of the results from this
test.

Statement of Test Issues and Goals 6

Test issues include how the test will be distributed as well as collected. Since GeekTech
University is a relatively small school we need a high percentage of test takers to return the
results.

The goals of this test are to ensure students and faculty can utilize free online resources
provided by Google to increase their productivity and effectiveness on campus.

Main concerns include:

 Accuracy of results
 Ratio of faculty to student submissions
 Effectiveness of the issued instructional materials

Objectives:
 To see if the usability tests needs to be revised
 Increase productivity of all those who read the material and watch the videos

requiring where they used Google Reader they will be asked to evaluate several aspects of the
training material. Faculty may complete the test at home or at work. The expected deadline
for the faculty will be upon the completion of the schedule.
