I would really appreciate being considered for the position mentioned in subject: I am extremely
motivated and strongly committed to humanitarian principles, and according to the essential experience,
skills and knowledge required for this position I think I meet all the necessary requirements. I have
already worked in the region, and I would really like to give my contribution to the alleviation of the
suffering of the most vulnerable population in this country.

I have a relevant academic background and more than 12 years of experience in planning,
implementing and monitoring humanitarian aid programmes, including more than six years in sub-
Saharan Africa. My extensive field experience allowed me to build the necessary skills and capacity
required to successfully cover ECHO TA tasks, providing strong and evidence based technical support: I
have a sound understanding of design and delivery of multi sectoral aid programs in emergencies, post
emergency and post conflict situations, and I can quickly analyze and evaluate changing and multi-
faceted contexts delivering timely, accurate reports on the main humanitarian issues and priorities.
Through my considerable experience in international non-governmental organizations I have learnt how
to efficiently handle management and financial components of aid programs, and I have acquired a
tangible know-how on structuring and evaluating large-scale humanitarian projects. I am familiar with
the Humanitarian Coordination system and I have frequently and successfully represented my
institutions to external stakeholders and to government authorities.

I am a native French speaker and I have an excellent command of English. I have always been
able to create positive and productive relations with my colleagues, local communities, humanitarian
actors and all governmental and non-governmental stakeholders. I have worked in a team in all my past
assignments, and I acquired team/people management and training skills that could represent an added
value for the office. I have already worked in very different contexts with international and national staff,
and I have always demonstrated a positive attitude in a multicultural environment.

I have often worked with Secours Islamic, and I have always appreciated the specific mandate of
SIF for the impact and the importance of your support. I would really appreciate the opportunity to
discuss whether my background and experiences are commensurate with your current needs for this
assignment.
