BACKGROUND

Indonesia is the one countries who has English language as English Foreign Language
(EFL). Almost in each school in indonesian teach English language from the elementary school
until university. But cause English is foreign language Indonesia there are many problems who
has found in English language teaching. In English language has some important aspects there
are reading, listening, writing, and speaking. Especially in speaking, students are required to
more active in learning in class or in campus area. In speaking student not only required can
speak English but also can understand about the speaker speak. In speaking the student must
have confident by their self.

According to Richards and Lockhart (1996), in class, it is true that despite a teachers best
intentions, teachers sometime interact with some students in the class more frequently than
others. Although teacher generally try to treat student fairly and give every student in the class
equal opportunity to participate in the lesson, it is often hard to avoid interacting with some
student more than other. Student within the teachers action zone likely to participate more
actively in a lesson than student who fall outside than action zone.

The major goal of all English language teaching should be to give learner the ability to use
English effectively, accurately in communication (Davies and Pearse, 1998). However, not all
language learners after many years studying English can communicate fluently and accurately
because they lack necessary practice.

Like happen in English department fifth semester The something often happen in class
English language are they more often use the region language in class to communication with
their friends and inclined seldom to use English language to communication when in campus
area. Using English language or practice in speak English are very important to develop English
ability especially in speaking. If the something continue to take place or happened steadily the
development of the students just in knowledge about the theories of the book, like a psycho,
syntax etc.

With this condition the student should more emphasize their self to not use region
language in or Indonesian language to communication with their friends when in campus area.
With habituate self, over time they would be more confident using English language. Without felt
with doing this method students ability can increase, not only knowledge theory but also speak
English good well.
