NARRATIVE REPORT
Theater Performances, in whatever forms, has been a source of entertainment and social awareness
for the people.
On September 13, 2016. Bicol University College of Arts and Letters, Speech and Theater Arts
Department, headed by Profesor Mendoza at BUCAL AMPHITHEATER, @ 1:00 PM had their theater play
entitled EBAKWIT, SARONG BANGGI and ANG PUSONG BINABAE SA LIKOD NIN SOLTERO.
Ebakwit
Directed by Julius De Guzman and Angelica Esquiber with the cast of Ramon, Aunt Martha, Uncle
Berto, Carlos, Ligaya, Ara, Nemia, and Flor. The show is performed comedy, it shows the real life
of an evacuee, like the accepting goods from government. The life in evacuation center is very difficult, but the
performers show that the life over there was not a difficult situation as long as they are happy and learn to
adopt the given environment. The show point out in reality.
Sarong Banggi
Directed by Jessa Brutas and Sarah Jean Espiritu with Rica, Gelo, Jay, Tita Stella, Wilda, Ana and
Bong. The "Sarong Banggi" shows dramatically. The story of the show is the father of Jean was regret himself
to leave his family because he did not care his daughter and his wife, because previously he is alcohol abused
then the father always say sorry for his daughter, and soon the daughter forgives his father even though she
shows displeasure. Then the lesson of the story shows that always respect your parents and know how to
forgive.
Ang Pusong Binabae Sa Likod Nin Soltero
Directed by Salvador and Gabriel with the cast of Jean, Nico, Jun, Gay, and Father. The last show "Ang
Pusong Binabae Sa Likod Nin Soltero" is another set of entertainment shows comedy. The story shows that
the father is very proud of his son which is gay. The boy is hiding feeling to his father because he is scared to
say that he is a gay because he doesn't want to disappoint his father but soon the father accidentally knows
that his son is a gay. Then the father accepts his son of what he is. And the lessons of the story are, be who
you are and learn to forgive and forget the pride you have.
As an end, the theater acts are wonderful and notable. We have a lot of lessons learned. We go out the
theater with joy and have another knowledge, inspired and loved. The overall performances were very good.
