Guide for Channel Time Slot Configuration

1. Export the RF radio DUMP, then find out the channel table as bellow from index.

2. Then find the parameter: TS Channel Combination(TsChannelComb).The parameters meaning as bellow :

3. For all the cells first TRX(BCCH TRX) 0 TS(TSID=0), configure 4(means FCCH+SCH+BCCH+CCCH).
Filter FHSID=0,then filter TSID=0,then configure 4.

4. Configure SDCCH as RF data.---- One TRX configure SDCCH not more than 2.
(1).If only configure 1 SDCCH , then configure 8 in 1 TS(TSID=1)(means SDCCH+CBCH).
Filter FHSID=0,then filter TSID=1,then configure 8
(2).If configure 2 SDCCH, then configure 8 in 1 TS(TSID=1),configure 3 in 2 TS(TSID=2).
First filter FHSID=0,then filter TSID=1,then configure 8; filter TSID=2,then configure 3.
(3).If need configure 3 SDCCH ,then configure the third Ts SDCCH in second TRX 0 TS as 3.
First filter FHSID=0,then filter TSID=1,then configure 8; filter TSID=2,then configure 3;filter
TRXID=2 & TSID=0,then configure 3.
(4).If need configure 5 Ts SDCCH ,then configure the fifth Ts SDCCH in third TRX 0 Ts as 3.
First filter FHSID=0,then filter TSID=1,then configure 8; filter TSID=2,then configure 3;filter
TRXID=2 & TSID=0,1,then configure 3; filter TRXID=3 & TSID=0,then configure 3.

5. For all the cells ,configure 2 PDTCH+PACCH+PTCCH in 4 & 5 Ts as 14.(at the same time ,configure
Dynamic TS(ChangeAble)=0,Ps Service Preference Property=1,PDCH Precedence=1)----Means EDGE
Preferred.
Filter FHSID=0,then filter TSID=4 & 5,then configure 14.

6. We need to configure Dynamic TS(ChangeAble)=1 only for TCH/F, others configure 0.

Filter FHSID=0,then filter TsChannelComb=0(means TCH/F), then configure 1,others configure 0.

7. Import the script to OMC to configure channel time slot quickly.

If you are checking Dynamic data management, you will find that Channel configuration for the example
site as bellow:

Site ID 260, BTS ID1(Subcell 1,2): Before comma, means Subcell 1(900 band)statistics, after comma
means Subcell 2(1800 band) statistics.

TCH/F Configured: Means no dynamic TCH/F,here,1~4 TRX(Subcell 1) total 4*8=32 TS is static Channel
or dynamic, only 5 & 6 TRX(Subcell 2) total 2*8=16 TS is no dynamic TCH/F.

Out of 16 TS, 11 TS is TCH/F Idle,5 TS is TCH/F Busy.

SDCCH Configured: TS Channel Combination=8,Means SDCCH+CBCH TS Channel Combination=3Means

SDCCH/8+SACCH/8 so total SDCCH Configured=1*8-1+1*8=15.

Out of 15 SDCCH, 14 is SDCCH Idle,1 is SDCCH Busy.

PS Channel Configured: Include Static and Dynamic PS Channel.

Out of 10 PS Channel,2 Channel is Static(TS Channel Combination=14), 8 Channel is Dynamic PS Channel

Available.

Dynamic Channel TS: 1~4 TRX total 4*8=32 TS,out of 32 TS, 1 TS is FCCH+SCH+BCCH+CCCH(TS Channel
Combination=4),1 TS is SDCCH+CBCH(TS Channel Combination=8),1 TS is SDCCH/8+SACCH/8(TS Channel
Combination=3),2 TS is PDTCH+PACCH+PTCCH(TS Channel Combination=14), So Dynamic Channel
TS=32-1-1-1-2=27.

Out of 27 Dynamic Channel TS, 16 TS is Dynamic TCH/F Idle,3 TS is Dynamic TCH/F Busy,8 TS is Dynamic
PS Channel Available ,So 16+3+8=27.
