The members right foot was deep purple in color and cool to the touch. I couldnt
detect a pulse.

He said he didnt feel any pain, but then he noted he had nerve damage to his
right leg.

After he massaged the foot and walked on it a bit, the color began to improve. But
once he sat down, the discoloration set in again.

I contacted his cardiologist, who instructed the member to stop taking his blood
pressure medication and go to the ER for evaluation. To which the member and his
wife agreed.

I reported my findings to the ER in advance of their arrival and contacted the

members primary care provider with the information.
