CARA KERJA OBAT : DRUG ACTION :

Meskipun pada percobaan dengan binatang percobaan tidak menunjukkan efek
teratogenik, pemakaian laktulosa pada wanita hamil harus dengan petunjuk dokter.
Hati-hati bila digunakan pada penderita diabetes atau penderita galaktosemia.
INDICATIONS :
Chronic constipation.
Portal-systemic encephalopathy, including hepatic pre-coma and coma conditions.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS :
Prolonged usage may cause abdominal and gastric discomfort, diarrhea, cramping
and thirstiness.
Do not use for more than one week without consulting a physician.
Although no teratogenic effects have been observed in experimental animals, Lactulose
should be administered to pregnant women only after consulting a physician.
Caution should be exercised when administering Lactulose to patients with diabetes
or galactosemia.

DOSIS :
Untuk konstipasi kronis: Laktulosa menormalkan kembali fungsi fisiologis kolon. Oleh
karena itu, efek ini kadang-kadang memerlukan waktu sampai 48 jam sebelum terjadi
defekasi yang normal. Dosis sehari sebaiknya diminum pada waktu makan pagi,
besarnya dosis disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan masing-masing penderita.
DOSAGE :
Chronic constipation : Lactulose returns the physiological function of the colon to
normal. It may therefore take up to 48 hours before normal defecation occurs. It is
recommended to take the total daily dose during breakfast, adjusting to the individuals
need.

KONTRAINDIKASI : CONTRAINDICATIONS :
Pasien yang diet galaktose, galaktosemia, dan obstruksi gastrointestinal. Galactose diet patient, galactosemia and gastrointestinal obstruction.

EFEK SAMPING : SIDE EFFECTS :

Flatulen, biasanya terjadi pada awal pemakaian laktulosa. Flatulence, usually happen in the early use of lactulosa.
Mual, muntah. Nausea, vomiting.
Pada dosis tinggi dapat terjadi diare, kehilangan cairan tubuh, hipokalemia, hipernatremia. In high doses can cause diarrhea, loss of body fluid, hypokalemia, hypernatremia.
