laboratories, computer rooms and generator rooms, where required by the fire code official.

Comment: They need to install a ABC portable Fire Extinguisher in the kitchen
Reference Number: 2012 International Fire Code 703.1.3 Fire walls, fire barriers and fire partitions.
Required fire walls, fire barriers and fire partitions shall be maintained to prevent the passage of fire. All openings protected with
approved doors or fire dampers shall be maintained in accordance with NFPA 80.

Comment: There were several areas thru out the building that the fire rating protection covering was missing Must be sure that
the rating is maintained.

Comment: There were several doors that needed to be adjusted so that they meet these requirements.

Audible notification appliances for wide area signaling shall be installed in accordance with the requirements of the authority
having jurisdiction, approved design documents, and the manufacturers installation instruction to achieve the required
performance.

Comment: The hallway area in the pent house shall have a Speaker strobe installed. Due to the fact it is in the means of egress
and the audible signal cannot be heard in that area.
Reference Number: 2012 International Fire Code 1003.6 Means of egress continuity.
The path of egress travel along a means of egress shall not be interrupted by any building element other than a means of egress
component as specified in this chapter. Obstructions shall not be placed in the required width of a means of egress except
projections permitted by this chapter. The required capacity of a means of egress system shall not be diminished along the path
of egress travel.

Comment: The stairs on the second level has a obstruction in the stairs that will be a hazard.
Reference Number: NFPA 72 (2010 Edition) 10.5.5.2.3 Circuit Identification and Accessibility.
For fire alarm systems the circuit disconnecting means shall have a red marking.

Reference Number: 2012 International Fire Code 503.1.1 Buildings and facilities.
Approved fire apparatus access roads shall be provided for every facility, building or portion of a building hereafter constructed or
moved into or within the jurisdiction. The fire apparatus access road shall comply with the requirements of this section and shall
extend to within 150 feet (45 720 mm) of all portions of the facility and all portions of the exterior walls of the first story of the
building as measured by an approved route around the exterior of the building or facility. Exception: The fire code official is
authorized to increase the dimension of 150 feet (45 720 mm)where: 1. The building is equipped throughout with an approved
automatic sprinkler system installed in accordance with Section 903.3.1.1, 903.3.1.2 or 903.3.1.3. 2. Fire apparatus access roads
cannot be installed because of location on property, topography, waterways, nonnegotiable grades or other similar conditions,
and an approved alternative means of fire protection is provided. 3. There are not more than two Group R-3 or Group U
occupancies.

Fire apparatus access roads shall not be obstructed in any manner, including the parking of vehicles. The minimum widths and
clearances established in Section 503.2.1 shall be maintained at all times.

To ensure that audible public mode signals are clearly heard, unless otherwise permitted by 18.4.3.2 through 18.4.3.5, they shall
have a sound level at least 15 dB above the average ambient sound level or 5 dB above the maximum sound level having a
duration of at least 60 seconds, whichever is greater, measured 5 ft (1.5 m) above the floor in the area required to be served by
the system using the A-weighted scale (dBA).
