Following the notice for the above position, please find attached my CV for your
consideration.

I have over 15 years experience in working with international organizations
(mainly International Red Cross) and consultancy companies in the MENA region,
specializing in project and programme management, organizational development,
capacity building, learning and training.

Throughout my career at the International Red Cross and various consultancy
assignments I was involved in working with Youth and Community Based
Organizations (CBOs), Non- Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and civil society
organizations and as directly involved in various humanitarian assistance, capacity
building and institutional change interventions (including large-scale youth
development programmes) in the Middle East and North Africa (Jordan, Syria,
Lebanon, Qatar, Algeria).

I have substantial experience in designing and planning assistance and
development projects (i.e. developing concept papers, funding and grant proposals
to major international donors, fund-raising, managing programme budgets, donor
reporting). I lead and managed a number of projects, hired and supervised
consultants, liaised with partners and project donors, prepared project reports,
managed project evaluations and conducted various training courses as required. I
also represented the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent at a
number of regional and international conferences and workshops. I participated in
and conducted a number of programme evaluations in Syria, Yemen, Lebanon and
Jordan.

A substantial part of my institutional development and capacity-building work
involved institutional capacity assessment and measurement, as well as designing
and delivering training programmes (including curricula design and development
of training materials) on i.a. resources mobilization, fund-raising, monitoring and
evaluation, performance management, linking with private sector and institutional
donors. I have experience in working with various ministries (e.g. Ministry of
Education, Ministry of Health, Civil Defense) and have also been directly involved
in managing the team of national and regional trainers working with youth in
communities or with community-based organizations.

I have a Masters degree in post war recovery studies from the University of York,
UK (2006). I am a native Arabic speaker and I do have an excellent command of
English.
