POSITION-: SENIOR FINANCE OFFICER (GSS-I)

TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR SENIOR FINANCE OFFICER (GSS-I)

Job responsibilities include:

Handling receipts and payments, and prepare reconciliation.


Dealing with banks (local and foreign currency accounts maintenance).
Enter financial data in Accounting Software.
Prepare details of withholding tax, and deposit in bank.
Preparation of financial vouchers and settlement of payables.
Preparation of staff payroll and ensure payment of all deductions.
Preparation of investment plan for the surplus funds.
Manage Staff Contributory Provident Fund and Gratuity.
Dealing with relevant authorities for tax matters.
Ensure that all suppliers invoices / other payments are paid immediately.
Coordinate in compilation of financial data and provide accurate and up-dated financial
information to senior management and SAARC Secretariat on a continuous basis.
Provide financial details as may be required for tax purposes and by auditors.
Coordinate external annual and project/programme specific audits.
Follow up the Accounts Receivable & Payable and arrange their settlements in
consultation with relevant department, individual and organization.
Preparation of financial report for Joint Audit Team / Governing Board / Programming
Committee
Any other assignment given by Director.

Qualification and Experience:

M. Com/M.B.A (Finance) qualified with 4 years post qualification experience of accounts in


a private/public/International organization.
Well versed with MS Office and Tally Accounting Software.
Having strong initiative, self-motivation, and ability to effectively work in a multicultural
environment.
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

SALARY, ALLOWANCES AND BENEFITS

a) Basic Salary: US$ 241/- per month


b) House Rent Allowance: 50 % of basic salary per month
c) Conveyance Allowance: US$ 50 per month
d) Medical Allowance: US$ 50 per month
e) Children Education
A l l o wa n c e Reimbursement of 90 % of school tuition fees,
including Admission, Registration and other
compulsory charges, subject to an annual ceiling of
USD 500 per child for a maximum of two children up to
Grade XII/A-level. The minimum age of the school-
going children for payment of these allowance is 4
(four) years. Reimbursement shall be made on
presentation of actual receipt(s) from the educational
institutions concerned.
f) Festival Allowance: Equivalent to one months basic pay per annum
g) Leave Encashment: 30 days per annum
