Preparation: 6-8 questions (see below)
Procedure:
Make lines: Ask students to make two lines with equal number of students on
each line. (Tip: ask students on each line to count from 1 to end).
Greetings: When settled, ask students on both lines to turn around to face each
other and say Hi/Hello to their partner.
Explain the rule:
- Teacher says aloud (/writes) a question/topic, each pair will have around 1 min to talk
on the question/topic.
- After 1 min, teacher claps hands. All stop talking and say Goodbye to their partners.
- The first student from Line 1 (i.e. on the right) runs to the end of her/his line. All other
students on that very line move forward to face a new partner; while the OTHER LINE
(i.e. on the left) stay still. New pair says Hi/Hello.
- Teacher says aloud (/writes) another question/topic and the activity goes on until end.
Check the rule: Ask: What will I give you? (Questions), What will you do? (Talk
to partner on the question) What will you do when you hear hands clapping?
(Stop talking). Who will run? (Only one person) Who move forward? (all the
other on that line) Who stay? (the other line)
Begin the game with question 1, then 2 until end. Remember to ask them to say
