The Strongest Muscle by Chuck Eier, M.S. C.S.C.S. February 2010
The heart, or cardiac muscle, is the strongest, most resilient muscle in the human body. Over a lifetime, February 1st
the heart works 24 hours a day. On an average day, the heart beats 100,000 times and pumps about
2,000 gallons of blood. Over a 70-year lifetime, the heart beats more than 2.5 billion times. Free Blood Pressure Screening

Sadly, heart disease is the number one or number two cause of death (and most preventable) for February 3rd

Aerobic, or cardiovascular, exercise is a great way to prevent heart disease. A simple daily brisk walk of 30 minutes or more can pm
