1 P urpose
The purpose of this docum ent is to serve as the design basis for structural design
of seven substation transportable buildings for Train 1 and Train 2 of the AP LN G
project in Laird P oint on Curtis Island near G ladstone, Australia. The Laird Point
site on Curtis Island is approxim ately 11km northeast of the city of G ladstone and
is located on an LNG precinct site set aside for developm ent by the Port of
G ladstone.
The blast design loading to be considered is 6.9 kP a (1 psi) for all substations
building s.
The plan dim ension s of the five buildings for Train 1 are listed as below (plan
dim ensions to be verified):
The plan dim ension s of the two buildings for Train 2 are listed as below (plan
dim ensions to be verified):
A ll the buildings are to be pre-fabricated steel buildings. The buildings will be pre-
fabricated outside of Australia, and will then be transported to the site of the
A PLNG project on Curtis Island, Q ueensland, Australia.
