Set Minimum and Maximum Tune Voltage for LO1 and LO2:
:SENS:PN:LO1:VTUNE:MAX:7.5 (sets max tune voltage to LO1 to 7.5V)
:SENS:PN:LO1:VTUNE:MIN:-7.5 (sets min tune voltage to LO1 to -7.5V)
:SENS:PN:LO2:VTUNE:MAX:9.375 (sets max tune voltage to LO2 to 9.375V)
:SENS:PN:LO2:VTUNE:MIN:-9.375 (sets min tune voltage to LO2 to -9.375V)
Note: VTUNE is settable to 3 decimal places. If set to 4 decimal places it will round up or down
to the nearest thousandth.
Calibrate LO1 and LO2:
:INIT:PN:CAL (tells the instrument to start the calibration process)
Note: 11 points are calibrated for each LO. Therefore calibration time is at least 11 multiplied
by the frequency counter interval time (11 x freq cntr int), potentially longer.
Wait for Calibration to Complete:
:STAT:OPER:COND? (returns the status of the instrument, returns 'Instrument Ready' when
calibration is complete) Note: Continuously sending this command during LO calibration will
slow the calibration routine.
Additional Commands:
:CALC:PN:TRACE:HOLD (stops the LO calibration routine)
:MMEM:PN:LO1:OCXO:CAL? (once calibration is complete, reads back calibration table)
:MMEM:PN:LO2:OCXO:CAL? (once calibration is complete, reads back calibration table)
Note: Calibration table read out is comma delimited for values associated with each cal point,
and each points data set is delimited by a vertical bar. The first cal point is always number 0.
Example: cal point0, Vtune, freq(MHz), pwr lvl | cal point1, Vtune, freq(MHz), pwr lvl
0, -8.750, 999.9874700MHz, 10.700dBm | 1, -8.250, 999.9881210MHz, 10.700dBm
LO Querying Commands
To query the status of LO mode or a specific setting, use a question mark at the end of a
command. Examples:
:SENS:PN:LO:STATUS? (returns the LO mode status)
:SENS:PN:LO1:VTUNE:MAX? (returns the LO1 max tune voltage setting)
:SENS:PN:FREQ:CNTR? (returns the frequency counter interval value)
