operation of each NE.
Once the customer has signed this form, it constitutes the customers approval of the sites
installation and tests: mechanical, electrical and functional.

2. Site Installation Tests

All the tests mention in the following section need to be done for all NEs and for all sites.
The use of those tests is to verify normal operation of all XDM Network Elements.
For all optical level parameters, please refer to document 417006-2007-013-A0 XDM
System Specification.

2.5 Cross Connection and Tributary Test

2.5.1 Make few cross connection at VC12/VC3 and VC4 level from any where to
any where.

2.5.2 Create cross-connect for all the available E1 tributaries to an optical port.
Loop back all the tributary ports and connect SDH analyzer on the optical port to
which the entire cross-connects are created and run tributary scan.

Result: All the tributary ports are working fine.

2.6 Card Assignment and Un-assignment Test.

2.6.1 Card Assignment

Insert the cards in the shelf and start assigning them.

Result: No alarms for the cards.

2.6.2 Insertion of Different configuration card

Pull out one card and insert a card of different configuration.

EX. Pull out STM-1 card from the shelf and insert STM-4 in that slot.

Result: The alarm is Type Mismatch

2.6.3 Revert back.

Ex. Remove the STM-4 card and insert STM-1 card.

Result: The alarm Type Mismatch gets cleared.
