Summer program 2017
During the summer vacation
we have a two and half week
long summer program. This
years summer program includ-
ed; Bible, woodshop, salon,
aquaponics, English, exercise,
and sports. I coached baseball
and taught woodshop. The
overall theme of the program
was treasures in heaven. In
baseball we focused on the
victory in Jesus! In woodshop
we focused on the plans God

honest I was dreading having
them in my class, not because
they were girls, but because I
had the same two girls in my
aquaponics class two years ago
and they were a handful. When
you are teaching a class where
you are surrounded by things
that can seriously hurt or kill
you, the last thing you want are
students who have the reputa-
tion of being a handful! I was
happy to have my expectations
crushed! The two girls were
extremely respectful and were
eager to learn. God answered

my prayers and not only helped
with the girls attitudes, but every
student walked away with all ten
fingers! We took the opportuni-
ty to pray everyday before class
for protection. I would give an
opportunity for the kids to pray
and usually they would shy away
from praying. On the last day I
asked again and Joelina (one of
the girls) quickly volunteered.
That was the highlight of my
summer!!
Parents who have
been waiting 3 hours
have in common? They
all happened on the
same failed kindergar-
ten field trip to the
zoo. We settled for a
petshop, a playground,
and 25 five year olds
arriving unscathed
back in Palo Blanco a
mere 3 hours late.
